'06 Mustang vs. '99 Formula
Hey, a buddy of mine just bought an '06 GT, only mods we know of are a Hurst shifter and Flowmaster catback.
I have a lid as far as power adders (lol), but by the time summer comes along I'll have my LS6 intake, P&P TB, and a Frost tune. I also have my MGW, Koni's, and a PHB.
Anyways, he wants to race, and I'm quite sure I should be able to take him pretty good, but I'm not sure. I don't know a ton about mustangs after late 90's or so, and don't know if there's really much of a difference.
Thanks!

I kinda figured on that, or there abouts. He told me after his CAI and a tune he'd be at 350 hp (I'm guessing engine), but I'm guessing it'll be a lot lower than that (320-330 maybe?)
He's a cool guy, he doesn't know a lot about fbodys, and is very much a Ford guy, but he respects LS motors....so it's more of a fun thing rather than beating down a fanboy.

350hp? No way. Your typical 3v S197 with CAI, midpipe, and tune will average 285-295ish rwhp. Which is actually a huge gain from factory, but a full bolt on LS1 will have an edge. If I were him, I would get gears and some sticky tires to go from a dig.
