Default bringing the t/a to get dyno tuned finally in may

car is a 2000 trans am with an l92 shortblock, m6 with prc stage 2.5 5.3 heads, an eps custom 235/243 621 623 111 cam fast 92, nw 92mm tbody un ported, pacesetter 1 3/4 headers new tsp y pipe and magnaflow cat back goin threw moser 12 bolt with 4.10s. on the nelson mailorder the car traped 120-122 (3690 pounds with me in it) consistantly so im hoping for some gains by the tune alone..it seems to run very rich as to be expected with a mailorder..any guess on what i may pick up. the car has never been on a dyno. also my good friend will be bringing his 2006 a4 gto that had prev dynoed 406 whp with a stock bottom end ls2, 232/234 on 112 xer lobe comp cam and l92 heads pacesetter headers and magnaflow catback and an unlocked 3000 edge converter. this combo was done i think 2-3 years ago and by todays standards is no where what it should be so slowhawk specd out a new cam for him. the car use to run 12.2-12.4 at 112mph. im pumped to see wat the cam change will do for this car. also hes sending the converter out to get restalled to about 3600. any guess's. both cars will be tuned by slowhawk in the upcoming month on a mustang dyno.

those EPS cams are so good. you trapped 120 to 122 mph with a mail order tune, that is very very good. i think you will gain another 2-3 mph if not more with a dyno tune.

thats what im hearing about the eps lobes..i was hoping for another 3mph on the trap just didnt wana get my hopes up to high but im glad u seem to think the same...i think the gto will pick up alot its goin from a 232/234 cam with l92 heads to a cam better suited to those heads.i mean the 112 mph with the old cam thats just not right im guessin mayb 117ish which wud be a great bump up in power.

ps i use to have that tsp 233/239 cam and the prc 5.3 heads on the ls1 ran great never got to take it to the track with the fast stuff on it tho. what are u running for times

yeah i like this 233/239 cam but i think my dyno numbers are slightly lower than the same cam and mods with stock heads. i think because i didn't port the heads some how the right way although i know how to port the GM LT1 heads. i applied what i know on LT1 heads to LS1 heads, maybe there is different way to port the LS1 heads than to port the GM LT1 heads. i was hoping to get 420rwhp at least from my current mods with my self ported 853 LS1 heads with stock valves.

i didn't take my car to the track yet, we only have an 1/8 mile drag track here in Kuwait and it was closed several years ago. maybe it will be re-openned else where soon because its current location is near by houses and they the people at track will make noise to people at near by houses.
