a stock srt8 challenger stacks up well with a stock ls1

full bolt ons and stall would slaughter one

fun cars but slow, my aunt has one...her bone stock 99 Corvette is faster (both are 6 speeds)

if a 4000 stall full bolt on ls1 3.23trans am lost to a stock SRT8, there is something wrong with the TA. it should murder it, bad.

ever driven one? blindspots from hell and they feel kinda bulky to drive, shifter gate is retarded and kept hanging the shifter when I tried to pull it into 2nd (I don't have much experience with manuals but damn that should be an easy one)

brakes are great, stock exhaust sounds sexy as hell, and the ride is firm but smooth and definitely fun to drive

I'd rather have a trans am any day of the week

perhaps choosing challenger over the t/a would be a bad idea

while they look good in some colors (blue, black, graphite) the wrong color or stripe package makes them look HUGE and TALL because they are...the front end is hot as hell the rest is pretty "meh"

the ls1 trans am with a ram air type hood of some sort is one of the sexiest cars to ever hit the street, especially with a nice wheel package (**** zr1 or c5 zo6 on a trans am )

take a small portion of the money you would waste on the challenger and get some nice ccws or something equivilent

I think they look great, but it's the price tag that makes me lose interest. A neighbor down the street got one last month. He says it's fast. I can't wait to pull his ***! It does look great though, I like them as does my wife.

If you like boating while on land, the challenger isn't a bad decision.

The srt8 challenger should run high twelves with a programmer and cold air intake. The car handles nice and does not drive like a "boat". It rides much better than an f-body and has an awesome engine/tranny combo with either the stick or the auto. It is overpriced compared to the 2010 camaro but feels nicer and more expensive (imo). It's not always about what is faster. The SRT8 is respectable and looks awesome. Dodge released a track package car with no vin # that is designed for racing only. It weighed about 3300lbs and was an absolute beast with the same engine as the stock srt8. It's hard to overcome 4200lbs when drag racing but with a nice 125 shot it can hurt some feelings in a hurry.

This is an ls1 site so don't expect alot of support for a mopar

If you have not driven an srt, do so before ruling it out.

That has been, and will always be the argument on this website. I like the styling and I'm sure it's nice inside, but you said it yourself, you know your audience
