Default 98 T/A w/ls1 runs 12.4 in 1/4, how much will I gain with an l92?

Let's see if I get any replys here.lol

So I have a 98 ta with just a full exhaust, converter, ls6 intake and I've ran a 12.4 on motor. No cam. I was going to chase a high 11 in the 1/4 with drag wheels and whatever boltons I could squeeze, but just let that go. I just kind of lost intrest for the car and it's been sitting for almost a year now and so has the longblock l92/ls3 that I got. I've always said I'm going to swap it out but just don't find the time. I've thought about swapping a t56 with the ls3 to make it more fun to drive than the auto.

Just wondering what you guys think a stright swap would the in improvment 1/4 mile wise. Might keep the same cam if not go with something like a bug split cam, Im going to be using an l76 intake I have. I'm guessing it's atleast 70rwhp more than my ls1 right with the stock l92 cam? Also my raceweight in the ls1 with me is around 3390.

I'm going to guess 11.5 @ 1??mph with the l92 and stock cam. And 10.x-11.x @ 1??mph with the l92 swap with a cam. Tell me I can't do it and I'll probably be motivated to start the car lol.
Jk but what are your guys honest thoughts on the gains 1/4 wise?

Thanks in advance!!!!

If you arent serious about it then I would just sale the motor. If you do a ls3 you need to do the right cam and intake the motor takes a different lobe spilt vs a ls1 cam. If you run low 11s then do you have a 6pt cage where you would be legal to run that quick. I would stick with a auto to. Just my opinion.

i think hes saying the stock l92 cam. not ls1. also u only need a roll bar to run 11.5s. not a cage.

Yeah I understand about the split theroy for the l92 heads. If I kept the stock cam it would be the one in the l92 not the stock ls1 cam into the l92.
And no I don't have a roll cage, Ive ran 11's at my track with no issues. But I'll get one put in if it gets to that point, I'd really like to keep it more of a street car.
