Starting to get my motor all together. Its a 408 LQ4 stroker motor that has a built th400 w/ 4k stall behind it. Stock 10 bolt and 3.73 gears. Oh yeah, all in my '85 camaro. I know its tuff, but you think I can get +475rwhp on this setup? Here is what it consists of:
LQ4 Iron Block
Eagle Forged Crankshaft
Eagle H-Beam w/ ARP Rod Bolts
Forged Wiseco 4.030" -3cc Flat Tops
Total Seal Plasma rings
Comp Cams 54-463-11 (247/255 .624"/.624" 114 LSA)
SLP P/P Oil Pump
LS2 Timing chain set
TEA Stage 3 AFR heads
FAST 92/92 setup (untouched)
42lb Injectors
UD Pulley
Speed Density Tuned
I know HP #'s don't mean jack, so I'm just curious. I'm am hoping for some deep 11's or maybe high 10's would be nice!

I pulled 9.8s@137 with a well built 4l60e, so I will say yes. One key is to give it the torque easily/smoothly. Make sure the converter is high enough in stall speed (pretty much anything but the stock converter will stall high with your 408) that you can preload the the transmission and rear end by reving at the line to about 1500-2000 RPM. That will keep the shock off of a lot of the parts. Then it is up to the quality of the clutches and the ability of the transmission to move fluid i.e. how well it is built to hold up. BTW, I also still have my stock 10 bolt using this launch technique!
As a side note, it is torque that kills transmissions. I don't see a ton of that coming out of that setup with a huge cam like that. Get on the bottle (I was) and you will grit your teeth on every run knowing that however well you built it and however careful you were with that launch it is still a 4l60e and could go (I did).

Sorry I must of worded it wrong of what I was trying to say. I bought a tranny from a guy who was pushing 1000rwhp so It should handlle a lot.
I'm just curious if it seems like a stout build and if it will be a good runner? Its mainly my weekend warrior and I know eventually I need a 9" with maybe 4.10's.

Just remember a couple of things. The th400 cannot be locked so you will be at the complete mercy of that huge stall which, in concert with your 3.73 gears could easily rob you 80rwhp. Don't fall into the trap of dyno numbers on a car like your's. They are utterly useless. You have a pretty lightweight setup with the '85 body. That cam is pretty damned huge too. The extra bore and stroke will give you crank numbers that will be enormous, you just won't see them at the wheels. You will, however see them at the track. From similar setups, I would not be at all surprised to see mid 10s at least.
It isn't no faith in the 408. It is no faith in the ability of a non lockable transmission with a 4000 stall (which should stall closer to 5000 with the power you have) to dyno respectably relative to its abilities.
