Default TSP 233/239 numbers anyone?

I'm doing the 233/239 cam and upgrading to the LS6 intake. Swapping to the M6 before all that goes down. Possibly a set of 243 heads. Just wondering what others have made with the 233/239 on stock heads. Any pointers on driveability, or any positive or negative points with this cam would be a great help.

its a great cam that will have good bite up top and still have good ptv. It should put you between 400 and 410 to the wheels cam only from what i have seen.

I have that cam and Im not even close to 400rwhp and thats with heads!!Of course I have an automatic with a high stall that doesnt want to lock for dyno pulls. I went from 12.2@110 to 11.8@114 at the track though.

I'm hoping through the manual trans that my numbers will be at least close to the 400 mark. How are the street manners with this cam?

I have a friend that purchased the 5.3 heads and the same cam from TSP. It dynoed at 432 hp. He ran it at the track, spinning out the gate and in 2nd gear and still turned 12.19 @ 115MPH. This was in an 02 z28, 373,street tires,3k stall, ls6 intake. THere's another z28 in town that runs the same combo in a 98 with 4k stall with lots of suspension tuning, runs 11.52@118, with n20, runs 10.50s. IMO this cam and heads is the way to cook, with very good street maners. You can plug in (TSP 233,239) on you tube and listen to the cam. Thats how my buddy picked that cam!!

Haha, a hell of a way to choose hard parts. Sounds like it does pretty good in the power dept. I have been considering e few different head options, but is seems TSP has their stuff figured out with those 5.3's. From what your friends cars are showing, I should be pretty pleased with the outcome. I'm gonna wait to do the cam swap until after my m6 swap is done. I want full effect from all my upgrades at once. Thanks for the info.

Had the 233/239 in my '01 Z06, with Callaway CAI, ported TB, TSP headers, pulley, etc... it pulled 430 rwhp (110k miles on the engine, original 243s of course). Peaked around 6,700 if I remember correctly. Stock clutch immediately started giving me trouble. Was still able to daily drive it, though.
Rebuilt to 347 (10.6 comp), ported the 243s myself, switched to bigger Kooks, sold the car. New owner pulled 450-ish, then added FAST 90 and pulled 460+. He also said Centerforce clutch was doing OK.

Anyone else have any numbers to post up about this cam? I already own the cam, so this is not a decision making thread. I'm just curious as to what I should expect. Thanks in advance to all who can/have shed light on the subject.

I have the TSP 233/239 on a 113 and love it. I didn't want a huge cam but didn't wanna spend all the money and only get 25 HP either. I decided on the 233/239 and have not looked back. Mine is a M6 and will surge every once in a while but not a big deal. I put down 416rwhp with it with no cats and 3" TD's. This cam loves the high RPM!!!

I'm on my phone, so I can't see signatures. Delaware SS, what other mods do you have? I.e. intake, gears, injectors?

Stock gears, 42lb injectors, LS6 intake, Pacesetter headers, 3" TD's, SLP MAF, Smooth bellow, Blackwing Lid, TR6 plugs. (P/P throttle body and U/D pully added after dyno) We are right on the coast so low elevation which i believe helped me out alot. I would assume with the cats i lost 7-10 HP i know i can tell a difference.

I'm also running this cam and absolutely love it. Very great street manners and loves the mid to high rpms. I'm running TSP true duals dumped, tsp 2.5 heads, 1 3/4 lt's and a FAST 92mm intake. Car has a great tune which makes surging/bucking little to none at all. I have not been to the track with it yet but I can tell you it screams up top. Here are some vids of mine to sample what it sounds like.
#'s in my sig below!!! This is with the stock UD pulley also.

I put this cam in a ta , kooks long tubes ls6 intake, and udp. Through cats and 25* of timing it mad 396.6 hp and 348.tq peak tq was at 3.8k this thing pulled all the way to 6.5k with no drop in power. It would have made 400+ but the injecter cycle was alittle high.

Tis cam is nice easy to tune and lump as hell.!

I just put this cam in my car along with 243 heads and LS6 intake. I have an automatic but I don't plan on having it dyno'd anytime soon, but in a few weeks I will get you track times.
