This isn't as easy as saying "he's got a K24 EK sedan." That sentence alone means he has at least 160HP/160TQ or as much as 200HP/~200TQ. Those kind of numbers will move a Civic.
A full weight EK sedan will weigh in anywhere from 2,300LBS to 2,500LBS depending on options. As long as the driver isn't a total lard *** the most I can see his car weighing with little gas is 2,700LBS, including driver. Now 160HP/TQ at 2,700LBS shouldn't be enough to outrun you, but 200WHP/WTQ is getting him close, real close. And since he's claiming full bolt-ons, cams, head work, etc. you gotta believe him for the time being, and if he started off at 160 then his work has definitely put him at 200 or more. The bad news is if he started with 200 then he's probably closer to 250-260WHP which should be more than enough to make you sweat... as you try to catch him.
Disclaimer: Numbers are approximate, differences in options, performance parts, driver weights, etc. will affect said numbers.

The problem here is we dont know which version k24 he has but for safe guessing..if you were going to swap from a stock b16 or b18..chances are your not going to stick another 160hp motor in there lol.Now in my area where Im surrounded by these swaps im giving you a fair warning. Those civics stock wouldnt be worth your time even stock, but the k24 is like going from sbc to ls1 lol.It will move out nicel for what it is and surprise you like it did to me.You best race is a dig race! From a roll with short gearing of the some of those honda trans will put away from you.A modded k24 isnt a laughing matter and they are quiet for the most part.Get some good rubber out back,do longtube and full exhaust and beat him off the line. Most honda street racing noobs will spin the hell out of first gear and lose the race right there

lol thats a shame..that swap should take no more than a week at the most with all the parts available for hondas.A friend of mine did a v6/6spd 92 civic hatch swap and that car destroyed my stock ls1 dig and roll...baddd nasty lil car.In my defense..its fully gutted,et streets, caged, forged bottom end..very well built.very underestimated by alot of muscle guys around here but Ive seen what it can do and driven it.
