Default Bolt on LT1 vs Bolt on LS1

I've got two friends. One with a LT1 M6 car with 4.10s, longtubes, full exhaust, and the aftermarket elbow, air foil, and a cai. The other friend has a 2000 SS M6 with just longtubes, ory, and a dumped glasspack and a lid. Lets say the LT1 car was a slightly better driver could the LT pull it off? The LT1 ran best 13.9 @ 99 before the headers and exhaust and the LS1 ran 13.5 @ 102 the way it sits. ( We run at Bristol, very slow track). Both cut 2.0 60s on radials.

LS1 should pull slightly on the top end, depending on how soon it gets traction. the LS will probably trap 3-4mph higher.

That ls1 has a terrible trap speed so either the car looks like a slinky when he races and he's missing 6-8mph just from shitty driving or it has problems.

Honestly, based on what you said I wouldn't be surprised if the lt1 won. Especially in a street race because he is clearly a better driver by a large margin and would be better and picking gears if nothing else.

Ls1 should win, unless the driver never drove stick before.

If the Ls1 was stock I'd say go from a dig and the Lt1 should have him till 100mph but not in this case.

I guess it really depends on how bad of a driver your LS1 buddy is lol. I mean he would have to really miss a shift, or be INCREDIBLY slow on the shifts.

Where we race the DA is usually 3k plus feet but at the same time my camaro with just a 4.10, lid and headers went 13.1 and trapped 107 through the stock catback and a LS1 intake on street tires. Everything does run relatively slower there, my full bolt on cam only car traps 113-114, my heads/cam car traps 121. Hypathetically speaking if the LS1 cars driver can drive, a 4.10 shouldn't make up for the 5mph difference should it? Maybe something is wrong with his car.

the ls1 car vandyke t/a is talking about would have done better, if we had known the battery wasen't secured down it was hitting the ac compressor behind the hot terminal on the battery after launch, the car quit because of this going down the track then came back to life lol.
