There should be a buffer... but if you say I'm gonna 9s and you fail and run 11s... you should lose.

if you give a buffer to a 10.91 car and throw it in the 11s group it cheats the 11.01 guy out of winning the 11 class

And if you run a 10.99 you should have to be the slowest in that bracket vs winning the 11 bracket. Say xx runs a 10.99 in the 10s group but the fastest guy out of the 11s goes a 10.98 it wouldn't be fair for him to win the 11s.

I say whatever the whole number is should be the class you're running. If you and another person run a 10.99 or whatever, you both lose

I like Juices idea better, the whole premise of this challenge is putting yourself into the bracket of the number you're shooting to run. If you exceed that number you win. If you run a second slower, you suck at life and lose. Let's just simplfy it though, I'm going to blow everyone's ******* out.

I've also raced 400-500rwhp Evo's and Sti's that couldn't beat me through a intersection. Hell, only two ever got to my front bumper. I've been street racing for around 20 years now, I know what a car can and can't do on a unprepped street. Mine does exceedingly well. Ask DietCoke about it.

If you were local id be more than happy to outdig you on the street, on a true street tire.

dude, if you out run your expected bracket thats a win in itself not for a class event. With that said if I ran a 10.99 when I was in the 11s class id be more than happy to lose the 10s I just got bumped into and wear a girl shirt. Because after all I exceeded my goals and thats a win. Other wise you got sand baggers trying to look cool because they chose the slower class. My as well not have classes if its not a clean break. My as well say slowest 5 lose. Gayest **** ive heard wanting a buffer.

If I shoot for 11's and I run a 10.XX, im either sandbagging or skeptic of myself. If you are shooting for a 11.00 then go ahead and shoot for the 10 bracket, if you cant manage 10's you get bumped back to the 11 bracket. Seems pretty simple to me. Im shooting for mid-high 11's, my current pass is a 12.20, if i cant crack 12.00 ill be more than happy to move back to 12's.

Will is the end all when it comes to the rules. Whatever he comes up with is what we do.

Don't submit a time/slip till after the event? If broke out, just do another run, sand bag a little and get a 10.00 .. As I am sure this will happen.

I think if you put yourself in the 11 second category and go 12.50s you should lose, not get to retreat to the safety of the 12 second class and no tshirt.

Good point. I guess for the spirit of the event it would make more sense to get dropped into the faster class if you break out.

I agree with this. Screw it, Will, drop me into the 10 second bracket. That's what I am ACTUALLY shooting for this year. This is what the competition is all about, what you hope you will run this year. If I lose, I lose. Not a big deal.
