SMH, there is just no winning with you.
Well for starters I don't think you said "first time" You just said the 9" would slow it down.

Now when you look at other factors I conclude the 9" it's self did not slow it down. The other factors did.

I started high with the pressures. Drove it in and checked nothing on the first run, They were at 25psi. We dropped them to 20psi(what they were at with my best 60) and made a few passes and nothing seemed to change.Dropped them to 18psi and it started to get a little feel and made a few passes. Tightened up the shocks a little which seemed to settle the back of the car a little made a few passes. The final pass we dropped the tires to 16psi and that 60 had a enough to actually "feel" something even though it was not the best 60. It felt like the tires were starting to actually do something. The car then felt floaty on the launch like it wanted to do something but it couldn't. I think I may change my lower control arms down a hole in the rear. I have also changed the cars ride height since my best run which. A few factors could be hurting it on the launch.

Last time out the tires worked great. I had a better 60 with them on notch's 4th gen, his car had less gear, less power, more weight and stock suspension.....but they are 2yrs old now and may have lost some of their bite.

Typical 60 would be bottom 1.7's with a best of1.70 coming on my best run of 11.05 @ 131.

Front air dam is made from left over Mach 1 pieces that when a bud wrecked his....2 times. It sits at 5 3/8" off the ground

You see I even like to utilize factory ford parts....lol.....especially free ones

To be honest Mr E....I think I should've ran it with more gas in it to get some rear bias. My quickest run/best 60 I had 3/4 tank. I ran it last weekend on 1/4 to empty.

I looked at the data a little. The last run got 1.1* of knockR. Most of the others it would get 4* and then taper out to 2.5* it would start right when I shifted to 4th....peak at the 5600/.68gr/per cyl and then taper. It was only getting 22-24* of timing then. Could have been the gas maybe. Time before I put gas in it I got it from Martin's(92 octane). I usually run Citgo or Sheetz with 93 octane.

I knew I had no chance in the contest.....I was really just looking to get into the 10's and would've been happy with a 10.8x. I hate bias tires and I like to run the car in a fashion that I can drive it anywhere and not worry. That pretty much rules out a bias tire.

Don't worry about the bog with the light clutch. I really don't think that is a issue.

Gas could certainly do that... whats your peak timing? I thought I read somewhere that LS6 stuff liked peaks around 22...surprised to see 22+... obviously your **** is working was just curious on that.

Thats the beauty of it though. Not everyone is going to make it into the 10's but it should light a fire under the *** of whoever is at the bottom of the list to get a faster pass. i hope this thing plays out well. So far I'm liking how things are shaking up.

On my map max is 28*. Car was seeing 26* for the most part. It rises to over 30 it the earlier sections(less than .64.gr/per. It makes a large jump there and it looks like it may have been dipping in that section and causing the KR for some reason......maybe just the day/weather conditions causing it

11.55 at 124.01 with a 1.86 60 ft on the Nitto (still hopping on the launch and 1-2 shift)
11.49 at 120.8 on too short of a bias ply. Tire was on 9lbs, and just beat. Spun bad on the launch then over reved fourth through the traps. Also have no clue where i was shifting. Was too busy paying attention to the car swaying all over the track. Will do it again on a 28" stiff wall slick.

Made 4 passes on the Nittos and 2 on the bias ply. Neither tire was right for the job. But was still a fun day of racing. DA was 1100ish ft. Even 3500 race weight

Lost all my time slips like an idiot... but i do have a video of the 11.49 pass.

Spun good, too big a burn out, launched from 4500rpm. 1.74 60ft. I slowed down everywhere else on the time slip.
