416 LS3 in my G8....what's yall's guess?
We just finished installing a 416 LS3 from Futral Motorsports this past week. Im currently breaking it in, and putting some miles on it. We are strapping it to the dyno July 31st.
I just wanna see how close everyone will get.
416 LS3
Diamond Pistons(coated skirts)
Callies Compstar Rods and Crank
Meaux Racing Ported LS3s(354@700/Intake 240@700/Exhaust)
238/254 .646/.639 114+4
11.8:1
Rick Crawford Racing Intake Manifold/TB
Kooks 1 7/8" LTs, Kooks 3" Catted X Pipe(No mufflers on the car)
Yank 3600
Factory 6L80 Trans.
A Z06 that just left the shop has the exact same cam, same flowing heads, but obviously through a manual, and a few more cubes, made 59Xwhp.
My guess is 535/505

I think you are being optimistic. My guess is 499/ 467 on a Dynojet.

Nice! I had a 416 in one of my G8's as well and it made a little over 510/500 and was fun to drive for an NA car. I had stock heads, stock intake, and a smaller 236/243 cam though. Should really jump with the converter! I ran mine just for fun with the stock converter and was still enough to get that 4,200lb pig into the 11's on street tires.
