Default 108LSA, 227/233 .585, Hand ported 241s (pics)

I finally bit the bullet over the summer and decided to ruin my perfectly good stock LS1 in the bird.
Car got excellent fuel mileage and ran very well. 12.86@107 was my best ET with it with a 3.50 gear ratio in the rear.

I bought at house in April and within 2 weeks the car was being ripped apart in the garage. The original plan was cam+springs+injectors and let it buck but that quickly got axed.

So here's what happened.

I chose a 227/233 .585 @108LSA cam and had ground from Lunati, who recommended their valvesprings due to the aggressive lobe grind
Lunati (Manley Nextek) .660 lift micropolished dual valvespring

Lunati (Morel) 5206 tie bar lifters

7.300" 3/8", .120" wall Manton pushrods with clearanced ends.
sitting next to the black 3/8 7.400s i now am not using...(cause Manton)

Rollmaster timing chain (cam was off 1/2 a degree from straight up

I was then convinced to port my cylinder heads by my good friend/engine builder. So with his direction, i started ripping them apart shard by shard.
I had a 4 angle valvejob cut after 90% of the porting was done.
Also had a .005" deck, valves cut/trimmed/cleaned.
I then blended the valvejob into the chamber and polished the chamber/exhaust. Measured all my installed heights for shims (none required)
THIS was my result.

final result

LS7 injectors on top. Base flash and hit the key.

Idle video. 4" Y piped exhaust.

Not tuned yet. Just roughed in. I put my NGK AFX in over the weekend.
I rarely post so I figured this was something i could share.
It will be street tuned on wednesday, and hopefully ill have a new ET on Saturday, if my master cylinder holds up.
LMK what you guys think.

Sounds great! Why so low on the lift? You have plenty of spring and pushrod for more.

i pussed out originally and then after i had the overkill valvesprings/pushrods wished i went bigger lol. it was all ordered slowly over the summer.

so yes, its slightly low on lift but the valvetrain should be solid as a brick overall.
the spray should be in by next year. just got my new bottles last week.

Was trapping 112-114. Even on street tires i was 13.1@113

Definitely a hotter day when i just ran this weekend. down several tenths and some mph in the 1/8 compared to earlier this year.
