Lol....probably need 3 jy 5.3's. One under the hood, one in the pass seat and one in the trunk just to spool it. Mount the turbo sideways on the roof. That huge ******* turbo be sucking bitches panties off in a 200ft radius.

He's asking for a budget build, iorn 408 has been a proven build setup. Hell Stangkiler ran it for years.

I've never known 2SS to be on a budget. Iron 408 would be the best budget wise.

After spending what I spent on my V I should've just got a damn lambo. Don'tnt to dump even money more into a depreciating asset.

Seems like the following is what most of you nuts suggest:

LQ9 or LQ4 based 408ci
LS7 for an N/A build

4L80e
6L90

Single turbo build
Nitrous heavy build
I'll just throw in Procharge big one.

You really don't want a 6spd auto no matter how built it is

I was thinking the same.

My V has a 4l80e and it seems like that the only way to go on big power builds.

If you already have an all out street car why not make this one more of a race car?

I second an LQ based 400 plus inch engine with a nice turbo. 4l80e trans.

I think a powerglide would suck on the street in the 5th gen.

For reals: ERL 427; F1A; added cooling; T6060; dual clutch; coil overs, and get after it. That'd be a beast that could do all. Take corners, go straight, and be fun anywhere.

Panama, they have no corners. They barely have straight roads
