I dont know much about them but I was just cruising and he pulled up beside me and started revving and launching. I didn't bite. I don't street race but I am curious as to what would have happened since he was confident enough to do that to begin with.

Im mostly stock aside from a LID and a ported TB no exhaust work done yet.

Ehhh It could have been both ways, the WRX's aren't to bad of a car and when modded they can truly be a awesome car. With them being all wheel drive and just the overall reliability of the car they are great. Say if he was stock as well you would have been able to pull on him.

From a roll race I think you would have pulled him if he was anywhere close to stock.

As far as why he was confident to do that...can't say I'm surprised. A lot of them are overly confident.

They respond decent to mods though so it could have also been quick. You never know with them honestly.

I used to run pretty close to an 04 wrx from a dig, then I got a bit better tires and we started launching in a better spot. He'd pull ahead from the get go the first year.

The next year I got new tires that weren't dry rotted and it was a better race. He still got me from the jump, but it was easy to reel him in.

04 wrx, moderate sized cams, tune, intake, bigger top mount intercooler, and cat back.

We'd race somewhere between the 1/8th and 1/4.

A heavily modded wrx wanted to roll race one night. It was a lot closer than I was expecting but I was in a 2900lb car with 420+whp(he lost). I think he was on a stock short block but everything else was modded.
