5.3 going for broke Ok...the title is a play on the fact that a) this is an INCREDIBLY budget minded build...one of those "I wonder if it can be done for x dollars" deals
And b) at some point it probably will blow up
So here's where the guesses come in.
5.3 gen 3
4.8 pistons
.040 head gaskets
stock 706 heads
truck intake
Ported tb
36lb injectors
226/235 .600/.605 113+3 cam
Psi 1511ml valvesprings
Chromoly pushrods
STOCK f body exhaust manifolds
No a/c
E fans
3600 stall
4.10 gear
In a 3300 lb raceweight fox
What HP/TORQUE
And what 1/8 mile times
I have no idea as to what this setup should actually make power wise and I'd like to have a realistic goal in my head before I hit the dyno. Also, I plan on coming back to this thread and keeping it updated so we can see if any body's guess was close!
