Default WTB: S10 4.3L Auto Trans 4L60E

Hey I have an 00 s10 zr2 4.3l. The trans In it right now has a broken 2-4 band. Looking for a trans that I can just mount up and go for relatively cheap. Truck is a 4x4.. Let me know what you got.

Thanks
Greg

Pull one from Crazy Rays. I think they charge like $100 for a transmission if I remember right. They always have a bunch of s-series trucks.

Ive thought about that, Just dont know if i like the thought of laying under a vehicle supported up by rows of tires for a couple of hours. And its my first time pulling an A-4 so would be sitting at a junk yard for a while trying haha.

I know that feeling. When I replaced the core support in my dime, I got the new one from crazy rays. Didn't think to read any guides beforehand, figured it'd be simple. Spent about two hours cursing at the damn thing trying to figure out what was still holding it in.

Yeah ole frankendime is a nice rig, has good looks and has full size stance. Cruising around with only 1st and 3rd sucks but ohh well looks like I'm going to continue with her.

Very Nice

Do you wheel it often? That's the general direction I was starting to go with mine, but I'm giving it up since a full size with a V8 just suits my needs better. Lots of highway driving, blah. The Crazy Rays in Abingdon actually had a ZR2 when I was there about a week ago. Someone had already snatched the wheels and tires though, so it was sitting on the frame. Tried to grab the fender flares off it but the studs were all rusty and the bolts stripped. Had a nice tool box in the back of it though.

Yeah at crazy rays you see some crazy ****, trucks 6 feet in the air with frame sitting on tires, car flipped over on its side, etc. haha. Tool box would be nice but don't think its going to fit with the roll bar haha. I woudnt mind getting a visor. And yeah not lately have I gone wheeling but last fall I had it out and ill tell you what, these damn zr2's are damn near impossible to get stuck. Definitely a better wheeler than any full size.
