Do you make over 250K a year? Do you own a company that outsources jobs overseas? Do you own a big oil company?

If you said no to all of these, with Obama, you will be paying less in taxes.

I could not agree more with that statement. Just the things she says... just scary. I strongly disagree with 80% of what she says and the fact of having her that close is possibly the worst part of the McCain Palin ticket.

I think Alaska has been doing ok for the last two year. I trust her more that I do Obama.

If you really believe you will be paying less taxes with Obama how is he going to pay for all the programs he is talking about?

No, No, and No, but all these programs he is talking about, and all the things he mentions do you really think your taxes will not go up. Either presidential candidate is lying through their teeth they mention anything about taxes not being raised. Have you heard about that bailout plan??? You think the CEO's and taxes will cover that your crazy. Taxes are going to go up. There are two ways to generate a sizeable taxable income. Cuts, and raises. You cut jobs, and spending less jobs. You increase taxes than there is unhappy americans. Face it, your going to pay taxes, and the lack of people paying taxes hurt the people that do.

Could be very true, and Obama may do a fantastic job. What's scary is that judging from the fact that you cant add anything positive to a thread politely discussing politics other than a post taunting McCain supporters is that you are one of the many uneducated voters that will be casting their vote in November.

The question is, and I think someone mentioned this above, is that where is all the money coming from for programs that Obama is promising to improve/bolster with taxpayers money? The bailout plan is potentially going to inject hundred of millions of dollars into our economy, which will cause inflation. Then we still have issues with high unemployment rates that are not going to drop for an extended period of time so unemployment payouts are going to be at a high level. Then on top of that we are going to lower tax rates? Where is this money going to come from and what programs are going to be cut or have their funding slashed to compensate for this? I just think that people ned to take everything Obama promises with a grain of salt as in our current economic situation it just isnt feasable to expect all of the above to happen.

why dont you try and do some research before you post up, because you couldnt be more wrong. The tax rates themselves are not going to change on those making less then 250,000. Saying that everyone between $0-$250,000 will pay less in taxes is absolutly wrong. In FACT, under McCains tax plan the average american middle class family will pay significantly less in taxes then Obama's

Slapping the wealthy with a tax increase and "attempting" to distribute this to the poor is called socialism and it DOES NOT WORK! His tax ideas will drive down stock prices, discourage investment, and deepen the recession we are currently failing into. IT is EXTREMELY important for the wealthy to invest in these economic times. Why do you think the legendary Warren Buffet is dropping Billions of dollars. What incentive will they have to invest when the capital gains tax is significantly higher. Also, these tax increases on the weathly will have a big impact on small business owners. The guys that worked hard to get where they are and dont deserve to be taxed hire. These business are the ones that net the most amount of new jobs, which is another thing this economy needs.

As part of Obama's plan no one between $250,000 and $150,000 will get a break, unless they have a dependent child in college. In which case they will get a $4,000 tax credit. For those who make less the $150,000 AND DO NOT ITEMIZE DEDUCTIONS, they will receive a $500 per worker tax credit. For those who dont know what Itemizing is, if you own a home you are almost guaranteed to itemize. Mortgage Interest, Real Estate and school taxes, charitable contributions, out of pocket medical expenses, etc. are all somewhat deductable. These deductions must exceed the standard deduction which 95% of the time they do. So, here is what this means. Families who own homes and dont have child in college will receive NOTHING, no tax break at all.

Under McCains plan: for one, he intends to keep the bush tax cuts in effect. Much more importantly the dependent excemption will go from $3,500 to $7,000. So, this will effect ALL families (assuming the children are dependents) in a very positive way. Lets say the average family has 3 kids and makes $100,000 dollars a year. Currently that family would be in the 25% tax bracket and pay $11,662 in taxes. With McCains tax break this family will pay $9,038 which is $2,624 less. So, for the average family this would be the most beneficial.

hahahahahahahahha, that was some funny ****. Just goes to support my idea of minimum education levels to vote. That doesnt mean you have to be college or high school educated. It simply means you need to have a minimal amount of knowledge about that election. Uniformed voters can have a significant effect on the outcome of an election. i mean hell look at all the ones posting in this thread alone

Would you mind telling me what sort of things she says which are scary to you? Dont give me bullshit about dinosaurs and the earth being created 6,000 years ago. That crap was made up by internet bloggers and is not true. Palin was NEVER quoted directly saying any of that. So, assuming you have watched the vice presidential debate and her other appearances, please tell me what has scared you about here.

Also, I see your scared about her having her finger on the trigger button of the counties ICBM's and SLBM's. Do you know the launch policies for a nuclear weapon to be released?

That kind of touches on her religious beliefs so I want to bring up something on that subject. You may have heard her church was promoting a program called "pray the gay away" which aims to "cure" gay people through prayer. I'm not religious myself, but I strongly believe in religious freedom, anyone should have a right to practice any religion they want and believe anything they choose to. But that being said, I am more than a little uncomfortable with the idea of someone who thinks gay people can or should be "cured" being president. As far as I know she hasn't officially endorsed or rejected this program, but the fact that her church promotes this raises the question, I would like to hear what she has to say about it.

Yes your right, it does get into her religion. I really don’t know anything about that the allegations so i won’t comment too far in depth. Until I hear her say it I simply won't believe those are her beliefs. This is very similar to the situation with Barrack Obama. Obama obviously has ties with churches in Chicago that are VERY anti-white. Again, just because he is associated with this church does not make that his belief. Maybe he feels the same, maybe he doesn’t, i have no idea.

I agree with you, there is no freakin "cure" as it’s not a disease. Now, if this conference aims to help homosexuals who WANT to become heterosexual, then I am ok with that. Forcing it on them like crazy left wing liberals is total unacceptable. Millions of people find answers and help through prayer. So, it’s a different story if they are just providing them a platform to help them.

Let’s face the facts; even under Roman Catholic law homosexuality is violation of divine and natural law. To be a child of god you must reject sin, therefore homosexuals will never be given divine sonship, never be forgiven and never accepted into gods kingdom. This is the one of the most common religions in the world and the US. So by accepting this religion as your own, you are also accepting that belief.

I am an agnostic for many many reasons just like this. Hundreds of things i do not believe to be true and yet are required to be accepted in order to be devoted to your religion. Just completely ridiculous to me.
