Angry body shop troubles

ok it starts off bad and gets worse, about three weeks ago i had a bit of bad luck while driving in a rain storm i spun out on the off ramp and tagged the passenger side door and rocker panel on a reflector post. also i screwed up two of my wheels. so needless to say it went straight to the body shop the very next day. after fighting with the insurance company for a week to fix the wheels that they said were totally unrelated to my accident i finally got the shop to work on my car. i didnt nag them every day but did check up to see how things were coming along. well today is the day that i got to pick it up. the first thing that i see when i show up is that half of the rocker panel was covered in buffing compound. now mind you this car has been sitting outside and i was told it has been finishd since early this morning. so the guy at the desk comes out and wipes it off and i go on my way. it didnt look as if there was anything wrong with the paint. i was really excited to get my car back so i didnt really look it over all that well. i get it home and took a look again and found nothing but garbage clear coat runs, overspray on all the black door trim, a masking line that spans the entire length of the quarter panel, and dull spot all over the place. also my berger panel is now chipped in two diferent places and i scratches all over my trunk lid. it looked like a kindergardener trying to color in the lines of a coloring book. now i have to bring it back and have it fixed again. sorry about the long angry rant but i need to vent bad.

#1 Write down the mileage of the car when you drop it off and make sure they know you wrote it down.

#2 Your inusurance exists to to get your car back into the condition it was before any accident or vandalism. Basically, if it ain't perfect, you don't have to put up with it.

Tell your insurance they did a terrible job and go back and see what they have to say for themselves.

I believe he went to precision collision on RT 101.

Bob I see your old car flying around town all the time. If you would of sold it a few months sooner I probably would of bought it.

WOW really, he kinda looked hickish when he talked to me but deffinatly didnt know to much,i hate trash talkers. hey when you see him tell him the car was wrapped into a guardrail. It was good info to find out on the day i sold it. granted the cars was fixed right and had no issues but i never knew that tll the day i got rid of it. like i said before im much happier now. good luck with your car. PC fucked up my car and i had to go back 3 times also. overspray all over the while car, runs in the clear, never pluged in my parking light when they washed the car and fill the lense with water and blew the bulb all inside the new lense, and said it was must have been like that when you dropped it off ... **** them.

Absolutely call up your insurance company, the shop is in their DRP program. Luckily that's the way it went. If you took a check from them and went to your own shop you would've been **** out of luck.

I'd take some pics of the poor repairs too, you can NEVER have enough documentation.
