Any track rentals left at Englishtown or Atco in 2008 (Nov or Dec)?
I really want to make it down to E-town or Atco before the end of the year for some serious numbers in the good air, but it's simply not worth the trip for the typical 2 or maybe 3 runs you get on a regular day. Therefore, I'm looking to get down there for a rental day if there are any left before the end of the year. Anybody know of one?

For the times you run there and if I were to get 10-12 or more runs in, it would be worth it in my opinion in this great air. Having fun is way more important than money to me, and running awesome times = fun.
I already pay $100+ for rentals at LVD, and that's LVD. Atco is clearly 2x better.

Yes, but getting the extra runs in in one day is to your advantage. It allows you to really dial in the car for the track/weather conditions that day. On a setup like mine with very steep gearing, a six speed, suspension, and a decent amount of power, it often times takes more than the 2 or 3 runs to really dial in the car. I've gone to many track rentals and not run my best ET until the 8th or 9th run. It's on days like these when you really get to start playing around with the car and that's what makes it worth it to me. Not to mention I'm not gonna drive the 3-4 hours (NOT including traffic) for 2 or 3 runs.

One thing I can tell you about that novebmer atco rental, traction isn't gonna be that great, because when the high for the day is 40 yeah, you'll make gobs of power but with zero heat in the track, it's harder to hook there then it is at the valley in the summer.
My experience anyway.

Unless there are alot of cars there I dont see that much heat getting into the track. With that stick, it shocks so hard, anything but the bias ply will have trouble hooking and I bet there wont be much tire pressure in them. That is certainly less then ideal conditions.

I can attest to it, went to one on nov 30th last year. They only ran one lane in hopes to get some heat in the track, it was that bad.
Same suspension settings on my car that was spinning a little bit with the 150 hit @ atco in november put the car on the bumper too @ lvd this past june for a referance, so think about that.

Englishtown is $25 for test and tune and you are only guaranteed 3 runs.
At a rental you have from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm to run your car. You are saying that in 7 hours you will only run 15 times? There have been rentals where I have made 20-25 passes, I usualy do 3 passes hot laping the car, thats how it likes to run new bests.
Plus at a rental, when you are with friends who have reputable cars, you are not waiting 2 hours for an oil down clean up.
With a lot of runs back to back, you can dial in your car just right because you can track your progress over a few runs on the same day. Making 3 passes today and 3 next week, you will never get your car to run right.
You are running 13's so you don't see the value, but there is much value to be had to cars running fast. Don't knock it till you try it.

last rental I would not hook well, only 1.43 60' at best, but it was like 90% humidity and the track was "moist" still managed to run a 10.32
other rentals I have had my shoes come off, sticking to the starting line...
its hit or miss I suppose
