This sounds fun - I don't know if I'll make it this year though, with the new business my time playing is limited. HOWEVER, with that said - when I saw this thread it reminded me of the multi-car pile up we nearly had when we met the second meeting area as we were headed off the 70 off ramp to 6-95. We were doing about 100 when all of a sudden there were massive brakes ahead - I nearly rear ended a good looking stang, but made my way to his left to not eat it... my oldest son nearly wet his pants. Made him glad he wasn't driving (he had been begging to drive, lol).

Are you going to have the second stop at that rest area again? I think that worked out kinda nice...even with the heart attack.

This still a go? I should have the new ride by then! and I live around 15-20Min from Hanover. Plus my buddies Turbo C6 (OFI car) should be ready to run by then! I got a buddy with a D1 GT, and another with a Twin Charged Cobra if mustangs are welcome

Yup I'm not sure what the hard braking was all about but I didnt think we were doing 100 but maybe some where. Not sure who would all meet there. I only know of 2 people that we met there and I havent heard from them yet.

Yup its still a go and all American Muscle is welcome.

I was one of them...I don't know who else was there, can't remember. Actually I started off there, then went to Arundel Mills because I got bored waiting, then we headed back there... the brakes, that's easy -- the cars up front slowed down to wait for others to catch up, the ones who were trying to catch up were BTTW - and guess what? We caught up, almost too caught up, lol...it was a good time.

Nice Ride/Cruise day. I figured since its been a Year since the last Cruise to Sonics in Ephrata, PA back in March 2008 + we don’t have Sonics here in Maryland I figured take a nice sunny road trip one Saturday. Get Video and pictures.

1st meeting place
Dorsey Station Right off Rte. 100. (It’s a pretty big parking lot on your right if your heading west on 100. Its been 95 and Arundel Mills Mall so if you pass the mall you went to far) We will meet there @ 11:30ish and leave no later then 11:50ish from there we will head on up to Sonics in Hanover, PA. Be sure to fuel up and Drive/Ride Safe Everyone.


2nd meeting place
Weis market in hampstead near North Wood rd & Hampshire rd second meet spot for anyone up in that area. We should be at the Weis market about 12:50 if Alt is still able to attend I'd like to put him in charge of that spot so I can call him when were close. The address for the Weis market is 720 Hanover pike I believe.

These Directions below are from Dorsey Station on Rte. 100 in Elkridge, MD to Hanover, PA. I'm not to familiar with good meeting spots in PA/NJ/DE/VA so hopefully someone in PA/NJ/DE/VA will be able to provide a meeting spot for the people in PA/NJ/DE/VA. So if you have Good meetings spots post them on here for PA/NJ/DE/VA Etc..

Directions Dorsey Station to Hanover, PA

• Merge onto MD-100 W toward ELLICOTT CITY.
• Merge onto I-95 N via EXIT 5A-B toward BALTIMORE.
• Merge onto I-695 N/BALTIMORE BELTWAY INNER LOOP via EXIT 49B on the LEFT toward I-70/I-83/TOWSON.
• Merge onto I-795 N via EXIT 19 toward OWINGS MILLS/REISTERSTOWN.
• Take the MD-30 exit, EXIT 9A, on the LEFT toward HANOVER.
• Merge onto MD-128 N/ BUTLER RD.
• Turn LEFT onto MD-30/ HANOVER PIKE. Continue to follow MD-30 (Crossing into PENNSYLVANIA).
• MD-30 becomes PA-94.
• Turn RIGHT onto EISENHOWER DR.
• Turn LEFT onto WILSON AVE.
• End at 290 Wilson Ave Hanover, PA 17331

I'm sure I left something out but that's most of the Information needed to get started. Once it gets closer information will be updated if need be. If you think I left something out let me know.


Preferably: Muscle Cars of any year. But anyone is welcome I know a couple of bikes are coming up with me.If anyone wants my # shoot me a message. I think a couple of people ment up with us last year on the shoulders.

slight change in the directions instead of taking 140 towards WESTMINSTER we are going to take I795 to MD-30 hanover pike and meet at the Weiss in Hampstead. The route only changed the time by 2 mins.
