Thinking of doing this. Car is driven 1500/yr max. Sits in a garage. Truly is limited in production if not desirable.

Pretty much self explanatory to do. Problem is the time to get the official verification from the manufacturer or organization. I can call around but dont want to waste time.

"Submit a letter from the vehicle manufacturer, recognized car club or a collector organization attesting to the vehicle’s limited production status. Must be printed on official letterhead"

Anyone have any info that can help make it a bit easier?

what benefit does this serve? just to get the resale value higher? or does this have some legal effect as far as emissions/registration stuff goes?

no emissions testing.

no safety testing.

collectors insurance (read: less expensive insurance).

25.00 registration fees

A no brainer for those that can get it and fall within the 3000/yr mileage allowance.

How about a letter from GTOAA? Would even one of the local clubs suffice? Maybe just contact somebody you know from one.
