Default LS7 project

We've been playing with a 06 Z06 for the last few months.Had a different goal which included 100% stock drivability while making the most power NA.
When we got the car it had an intake, headers, ported TB and ported LS7 intake.
Our next step was to add a lighter clutch and do alittle head work by milling, port the exhaust side and change out the exhaust valves to something stronger. Here are the before/after #'s.

Before -472hp/457tq -with headers,intake,TB,inlet
After -506hp/472tq -after clutch,head work

So know it's a true 500rwhp Z06 with 100% stock drivability

500+ rwhp on a stock cam with stock street manners. Talk about a perfect motor.

LS7 CR is already pretty high, how much did you mill? I'm impressed you got that much out of it by messaging the stock castings (which are already pretty darn good).

Well we know whats next. throw in a slightly bigger stick and lets see 550

Man those LS7's are sweet. Was the basline already running a Kinder tune?

Geese and I used to think a streetable 400hp N/A small block was something special...Maybe a 402 would help me out.

The comp. is 12-1 now which is fine. The problem with a bigger Cam is you have to go alot bigger to make a difference and then it only affects the higher rpm area and ussually bring in a big dip across the midrange. The customer wanted all the power down low for road racing.

I thought the gains were pretty good and a different type of project. We might do a Cam in the future.

Wish the weather would get better to drive these cars. After we finished the Z06 I was driving a Cammed/Procharged C6 we did.Cold weather = no traction, even at 100mph.
