SuperStallions Track Rental @ Cecil County

C'mon fellow oldguy, lol. I'm sure you didn't get all that work done to have plans other than to drag race it.
Yes, on keeping the car. As long as I still have a job, I'll still have the toy, although it will be slower next time out. I ditched the 4x4 look and swapped in some Strano springs, and swapped my big & little Pro Star setup for some 17x9.5/17x11 Torque Thrust II's and 315/35 drag radials. Decided that I wanted the car setup more for how it's driven 90% of the time...instead of the other way around. I'm hoping it'll still go high 11's, but April 25th will be it's maiden voyage lowered with fat heavy rims and Nittos, instead of my proven front wheel lifting Mickey T's and skinnies.

Too bad you can't make it to the rental, but maybe you or your son can PM me and let me know when you do go. I'd be curious to see how yours runs now, and maybe can get a few passes in mine before the rental.

Cecil County Dragway is located just off of I-95 Exit 100,
or a few miles off of Route 272 coming off of Route 40...

We've had two rentals a year, every year since the first one in 1999, and sales always seem to be the same. Usually the last two weeks is when they sell very quickly. I'd say if past history is anything to go by, if you grab one by the last week in March, you'd be good to go.
Just keep in mind...
Cutoff Date for ticket sales is April 10th, regardless of whether the 150 car mark has been reached.

Totally understandable...

question though, wit hmy truck, would traction bars w/ street tires do better at the track or would a pair of DR's with no traction bars work better? By that time i can only get one , and the traction bars would cost me half the amount....

I'm definitely no truck traction expert, but I'd have to guess that sticky tires would hook better than regular tires, whether the rest of the suspension was touched or not.

well the truck has just street falken tires and has a 8.5 rear upgrade wiht 4.10s and eaton posi in the works. But with the DR's i want to pick up i would have to get a pair of 18s to go with them, and that would be about 700 bucks vs. 300 for the traction bars. I think i might just do the traction bars and baby it off the line...

So i was talkin to my friend about this and he wanted to know if he would be able to go. He has a 66 mustang and hes building the motor a little bit, H/C/I swap and gear upgrade for his. So he wants to go and test his car out. So can a ford guy come....lol
