Hey I give you props for doing what you did. You may have saved her life by making that call.

Well, she's home.

The people at the hospital determined that her blood alchohol level was somewhere in the "obliterated" range. I don't remember that she was slurring words at all when she was yelling, but Bill tells me she apparently has a pretty heavy drinking and smoking problem that has cost her two marriages and two daughters. I didn't have a clue.

My neighbor Bill went over to the hospital last night to check on her, and the police were there trying to get him to sign something that would have her committed. He made the decision to call her sister and brother in law to come over instead and have them take her home to their house. She spent the night with them and they dropped her back off his morning.

I haven't seen her or spoken to her yet, but I can assure you that will be an awkward conversation when it happens. This has been the first incident in the 3 years that I've been living next to her, so hopefully there isn't another one for a while.

As far as I know, her mother is still alive but isn't doing too well.

Poor choice in not having her committed, it leads to a lot more incidents.

Jeez. Wait another 20 years when she develops some dementia. Had a lil decrepit woman in her 80's come to the hospital that was screaming at all her neighbors to get away from the house from the window. She even made her way out to the street and waved a car down claiming it wasnt her house and needed to get home. She was brought to the hospital when she was screaming in the house that she needed help and no one could get to her. The cops had to bust the door down.

Now that I think about it I would love to have a little demented neighbor.

I was gonna say it sounds like too much alcohol to me.

Some people, me for instance, have an unusual tolerance for the stuff and don't have bad slurred speech, balance problems, etc etc etc they just keep functioning normally or like her, act really weird and freak out.

I'm not an alcoholic but my dad was and was the exact same way.

Am I the only sick f*ck who was laughing out loud while reading this??

Commited? Hell know! This woman needs her own reality show!

I feel bad for those who got injured by her actions, both you and Bill, but sh*t man... this was funny as hell!

I would place her in a padded room with a large viewing window and charge $5/20min of viewing pleasure...

I was standing, arms crossed on my chest watching this woman twist, moan, and freak out underneath a dirty blanket on the floor of a pool shed next to a lawn tractor and a bag of fertilizer, and not only do I have no idea what to say, but all I kept thinking is [...would it be inappropriate to take out my cell phone and start shooting some video right now?...]

I wasn't sure how Bill would have reacted to that, and before I could make a decision either way she had pushed poor Bill backward through the shed doors and started running away.

This was one time in my life where I was like, "Is this really ******* happening right now??" I wish I could replay the scene via video for you guys but I dropped the ball.
