Keep in mind this C6Z is about 400 lbs lighter than my car , there 3350 , I'm 3780 , we can still line up though , this C6Z is bad *** , I remeber hearing it when it was at Cartek when they installed the blower and built the motor . http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-f...s-my-rwhp.html
Running that fast without a rollcage is really pushing your luck though , be safe out there .

That is flyin' guys, congrats.
It actually isn't the first 8 second Z06.
While it is mentioned in the title, that first line there is a little misleading...you really should specify that it's the first 8 second C6 Z06, there have been C5 Z06s in the 8s for years now.

That's a good point. I too don't recall Isaac specifying that he was looking to go 8s (or even low 9s) at that point either.
If he had been seeking that back then I'm sure that Cartek would've obliged considering that they'd already put a boosted little 346 C5 Z06 in the mid 8s (8.4@156+mph to be exact) over 5 years ago.
But this isn't about that, it's just cool as hell that Isaac ultimately did decide to step it up and raise the bar for C6 Z06s like that, 8s is no joke.
If he had been seeking that back then I'm sure that Cartek would've obliged considering that they'd already put a boosted little 346 C5 Z06 in the mid 8s (8.4@156+mph to be exact) over 5 years ago.
