i hear ya on the boat. I had an awesome time on the lake last year! I didnt even get my car out of the garage more then 3 times. But with this **** economy and lack of work it either the car or boat has to go. I cant come to sell the car So i will have to sit out boating season, which really sucks. Nothing like the sound of a big block in a boat, half naked girls and lots of beers!

Derek, One of my neighbors on the river was a local dealer for those a couple years ago. He had a 60hp yamaha on the thing. Stupid fast does not begin to describe it. You stick your feet in the straps and hands in the straps and hold on for dear life. 60 mph and you can crank a 90 deg turn. Faster and better handling than jet skis and if you drove sane for a couple minutes there was room for a cooler and a couple bikinis.
He recently upgraded to a cigarette top gun with twin 850 hp blower motors.
I do the family boating thing now. Fortunately My crazy days are behind me.
I could tell boating insanity stories for days on end and not run out. I lived on a boat at a crazy marina for 10 years. best times of my life and lucky to still be alive.
well guys i think i might trade the starquest for this sweet summer toy its a racing one so it cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes, i keep the boat in the water. i keep it in danvers at liberty marina. i pull it every 2-3 weeks to clean the bottom.
im putting some bling to it, and a few small things. new cockpit carpet, addind a tad more color, few little tweeks. new prop see if i can get a couple mph out of her. next year i will be doing a heads/cam/intake swap. this year the buying of the boat is killer, and i just ordered a new alum trailer for it. 15" alum mag wheels, led lites. hehe, she will look bling even out of the water.

I already know I won't make a single pass. Hell at the rate things are going, I won't be getting the car apart unitl the end of 09 to even start the next upgrades, so I'd be willing to bet I'll have to recert the chassis before I get to make another run, which I probably won't do until the end of 2010. Not really happy about it, but that's the way it goes. I'm not about to start racing on a credit card.

boostnTBSS,
i have no idea what ur talking about dude... i didnt say my car is gonna sit in my garage, i just said im not gonna be hitting the track every single weekend like i did last year when i raced ET Points and i wouldnt mind getting into watersports.... actually my car will prolly see the street twice as much as last year or even more... i plan to cruise and go to shows/ nefbody meets and just enjoy the thing without breaking it.... hopefully
i know my car is still a street car, im not debating that, i actually pride myself in it... its a Bolt on LT1 that can run mid 12's that is a street car... but with true duals and bullets dumped, !rear seats, pin on hood, !bumper support, !A/C, !emissions, SS3600 stall, !swaybar.... she is def not the most fun thing to go on a 3hour trip or flying around corners....
being in college full time away from home and not working, i just dont have the budget like some others to do it all in one season, i think u could understand that.

That was a fun day, and yes I've been Deep staging ever since
To be honest, it was days like that, having fun, racing with good people that make me want to do it again this year. Having friends there certainly balances out the sometimes hot weather and long waits between rounds.
I do think the track will be dead this year though, so I'm sure the waiting between rounds will be a lot shorter.
