So what happened. I'm still not sure. Rt 128 sunday afternoon. Pretty heavy moving traffic going 65. In high speed lane and all of a sudden it veered right at a 90 degree angle and hit the guardrail real hard. Thank god I didnt hit anyone else and Joey my 12 yr old gfriends son was in the car to. He took it better than I did. He's fine. So wear your seat belts and hope your air bags go off. LOL
I've heard of a few people with similar stories in C5's - From what I've heard it's possible it may be caused by a worn rear tire spinning faster than the front, which activates the traction control and locks up the brakes where ever needed (possbly on one side only)

Anyways, when will the part out thread begin!?!? And will the FI/fuel setup be in there?

I agree. That can cause it, as well as either the Steering Wheel Positioning Sensor failing or the Yaw Rate Sensor failing.

My father's C5 had the same damn thing happen – but he could save it thankfully.

Here's a post someone else wrote:

Brent, you would look real good in a nice-and-light '61-2 Vette roadster w/built 427 LSX and heftily-built auto w/Ford 9"....Maybe Super Gas would be a nice class for you to run. Surely am glad you or the boy weren't injured. After the Corvette, I don't think a Camaro or Firebird would quite do it for you, but???? WJ

The motor will be rebuilt since it has 30k+ miles on it.Still up in the air if it will go into the red car or race car.

Oh man it was a scheme all along...

Well I was looking forward to seeing a streetable stock cube N/A A4 street car, regarding the red one. But either would be a good idea. Just that I thought the shop car would appeal to the masses who don't have a C5R budget

It would be an awesome motor for the blue car as well.

Tough call. If it goes in the Red car would you just run it N/A? If the motor goes in the bird that makes it Brents car right?
