Finally Got the cage Installed
You go ask for the epoxy urethane exterior paint, they should know what you're looking for.
Just make sure the bars are really clean first. I used a scotch brite pad and some grease and wax removed, scrubbed until it was really nice bare metal, then wiped it all down with mineral spirits until the rag I was using stopped taking anything off. took a while to prep it, but you know how paint is, prep is everything.
Black, goes on great with a foam brush.
Those that have seen my car know how smooth it goes on, I'd give it a 9 out of 10. If you really wanted it to look perfect, I'd put 2 coats on, then wet sand one with 1000 grit or so then do a final coat. This summer while I'm taking it off, if I get bored enough I still have about 1/2 the can left maybe I'll try that. If, I get that bored. I'll have the car apart anyway, so while it's apart maybe I'll do it, see if I can get it to look like powdercoat
