Congrats on the killer setup. I hope my car hauls the mail like yours. It is looking like my 383 may run 9's.

What kind of carb is it? AED did I see that some were? What is the jetting if you don't mind me asking.

Default carb

JR,
The carb is a custom from ProSystems built for this combo.
Patrick James is a great guy to work with and makes a killer product.
The carb was dead on out of the box... even had the idle set.
Stock jetting is 74/84 on the 750 cfm.
Just bolt it on and go!

That is very close to what my demon likes on my 383ci. 75/90 with a 6.5pv. That was close but not dead on. Do you run a pv? I'm just learning how to tune a carb. I am considering getting a custom built one after I run "PINKS ALL OUT" in May. I'd like to get setup on E85 so I can get gas almost anywere. My motor is right at 12.5:1 cr.

Nice set up. Hey what was involved in replaceing the rod bolts? Did the engine need to be re-balanced? Rods need to be re-sized?

Replacing the rod bolts did not require resize or rebalance.
I am considering selling the engine to fund building a class specific setup.
Carb to pan with ignition controller/coils asking $6500.
This is with a Canton Pan, Prosystems carb, and MSD 6010.
If I dont sell it I will run in it same class next year.

Man I never did bust a 9 sec pass this year. I was a little disappointed. The best is 10.13. Oh'well! I hope with a new cam selection and valve train up grade that it will hit some 9.90's next year.

I think the car had it in it. It just needed the right tuner to get eveything out of it.

I would love to line our two car up. That would be a race!!

Congrats on the car. I love it.

JR,
The Dominator 2X is an excellent cam for a carbed setup. If you haven't purchased a cam yet, Give Maike at Rapid a call to discuss your needs.
2 LS powered 'Stangs runnin 9's door to door... that would be cool.

Man 9's that is ungodly fast! I'm putting together a similar setup in my 240sx but not with a auto. If I can make 10's I'll be happy!

Wow nice. I have a LQ4 shortblock as a spare to my LS6 for my 2900lb Nissan 240sx.... Might just need to get some L92's
