Couple years i attached it to the front then took it off after inspection. Last year i went in without it(forgot) but they still passed it. The vette i will find out in the next month or so when i go in for an inspection. I may just throw it on there to get it by then take it off afterwords.
ive gotten two tickets, both times i said the bracket got hit and a new one was on order. both times the car was sitting in the court parking lot with no front plate, both times it was dismissed..
just have to take a picture with it on and carry it to court, the worst thing is wasting the time to go to court, and all the other stuff they find wrong after they pull you.
the plate has nothing at all to do with inspection. you can inspect cars with no plate at all

luckily i only got a warning though 
I didn't run one for a while and I got pulled over twice for it in 1 years time. Everytime though it was just a fix it ticket so I just put it on temporarily and took a picture and took it down to the cop shop and showed the cop and he threw the ticket out. I got tired of getting harassed so I finally just registered the car in my home state of ohio, the military has its perks.
I've never been hassled for my tag being MIA. I've gotten inspections done with my tag missing, my tint, my rear plate cover that is slightly tinted and my radar detector on the tint band and the guy still didn't care. The only thing I'm worried about not are my switchbacks. I don't know if he'll care that they are white when the lights are on.
Ive had a my tag zip tied (doesnt look bad) to my stainless grill since I bought the car. I think Ima pull it off and put it in the windsheild. Im guessing I will have to use velcroe (sp?) to prevent it from hitting any one in the head hahaha
Not running front tags and never will. IMO a rear tag is all that's needed, but I guess VA just can't get the job done unless there is a front tag on the car. Well good luck! Apparently it's not that hard for florida, north carolina, alabama, etc to just run a rear tag. Saves money and materials since we are all trying to be cheap. I think the front tag is ghay and doesn't look good on the F-body's or our G8.
I must have jinx my self with my previous post. I got pulled over yesterday for my tint. Got a ticket for the tint and I got a verbal warning about the no front plate. It was Fairfax county too. The cop told me that if I remove the tint and bring a picture of the clear windows to court he would dismiss the case. Anyone have any pictures of a black camaro with clear windows they want to help me out with?
