I'd love to get FI one day, or big cubes. Right now money gets diverted to more important things though, so I'm content with my 8 year old cam, 5 year old heads, and 100 shot. It'll blow up eventually, and then I'll probably go 400+ cubes. I think I can honestly say though I really have no desire to go to sub 11 second land, and 450-500rwhp on the street is plenty.

It tough in new england cause there doesnt seem to be as many fast cars in this area, but one day I'de like to get a ride in 500 whp turbo car then a supercharged car with the same ammount of power, then find some 800-1000whp turbo and supercharged cars and see how different the power delivery is with double the power.

What type of blower was on the car you rode in? Cetri or roots blower?

I'm right around 440 rwhp with h/c right now, and I'd love to do a simple procharger running 6-8 psi and hit around 550rwhp, but I'm not sure it's worth it or safe on the stock shortblock.

"Probably"? If you don't run an 11.49 or better you WILL be handing the keys over to me and sitting in the bleachers the rest of the day. I'm afraid that's how it goes.

Tune will have to be right on. I am sure you can do it. Probably not ideal with the higher compression and valve overlap of you'r cam's profile, but it will work. Shortblock will take it, its' the pistons/ringlands, etc...

Nothin lasts forever, but I wouldn't presonally do it unless I was planning on a rebuild in the not to distant future. Forged, lower cr pistons and/or heads, probably a diffrernt cam. It's all about money.

Uggh you guys are killing me talking about 500+whp cars. I've been in a few cars, but turbos get me. Blowers are nice, but I just love the turbo's.

Trust me I like turbo's as well. My daily driver is a 2.0T Saab 9-3 that is pushing ~12psi in stock form and it's fun when you hit full boost at ~2800 rpm and just hear the turbo whooooosh and you get that nice feeling of torque. Power without the loud exhaust, which is pretty sneaky.
