Local Places for Roll bar
At any rate, bars dont need to be certified and a 6pt will get you good to 9.99 or 135mph. At 135 you need an 8pt no matter what the time. I'd have to check the book for any of the other rules.

Dont get me wrong guys I am looking for real shops that do good work to creat a solid rollbar, thats why I'm making this thread and not buying a pre bent roll bar and buying a notcher and having my hand at notching and fitting it myself and then having so and so's dad come in a weld it. Now thats the wrong way to be cheap..
I just dont need the weight reduction of chromo in a 2800lb car. The car is still almost full weight too. If weight is a factor I can gut this thing and get it down to 2600lbs with the roll bar in it but I like driving it around. I talked to a local shop that has done some really good work yesterday... and taking into account my budget he said a .134 ERW 6pt would be prob 30lbs heavier than a chromo bar but just as safe and he could get it done for 600$. He was saying the car that rolled over at NED was just running a 6pt ERW roll bar, and even though it was really installed incorrectly (welded to the thin floorboards instead of to the frame) that guy was fine. He said he uses the higher quality door bars (like the ones you have anthony) I like those, so I'de prob add at least a door bar for the drivers side, and possibly rocker bars, to reinforce the chassis, because I have some rockers that are a bit shot. So I'm still lookin at a good bit of cash.
That being said I'm still a little nervous about the ERW tubing. I've heard of it splitting but this guy says theres a bunch of 8 second full bodied cars running it safely
