went to the track thursday and they lined these 2 up for a blast down the track. neither one had a good launch on this run and it was the only time they went head to head. the black 1 was running high 13's at about 102 most of the other runs....the steel gray 1 was fairing a little better and he was clickin off low 13's at about 105. black 1 seemed to have a cat back on it and the gray 1 looked box stock...enjoy.
this perticuler run they went- Gray-14.3@10x and the black went 14.5@9x.... not the greatest.

i agree..they should be faster but....stock tires with inexperianced drivers will usually net poor results. im sure with somemore seat time they'll get better.
the gray 1 was running better times before this run and he was getting some serious wheel hop.

Its hard to get a handle on launching with the IRS. My first time out with the goat i was in the 2.2-2.4 60' range and running high 13's. It will take some practice to get them running the way they should. I'd love to take one for a rip down the track and see what it really has. My guess is it launches very much like the gto does...

Also, with those stock tires comes stock wheel/tire weights. The tire is almost 29" tall, which is the size of an suv tire, which definitely hurts acceleration times. Also, the gearing with those tall tires is rediculous. The rear gears I think at ~3.4:1, which when you add in the diameter of the tire, it really hurts the launch.
