LOL. Obviously, you've never been to one of our rentals.

The track is fully prepped, as in fully sprayed, just like it has been at every one of our rentals since 1999. No need to ask them as it is sprayed right in front of everyone, from one end to the other.

FWIW, there has been several 7 second cars attend over the years, so a 9 second one should be OK, don't ya think?

Scroll through the pics of November 2006 & 2007 rentals if there's still any doubt. (2008 wasn't covered due to illness of photgrapher)

This isn't the typical, low dollar, low prep rental. If it was, it would not be attended by various NMRA racers/record holders, RAM Racing racers/record holders, and an occasional ProMod.

Our Fall events usually result in one of two things...
A new best ET, or a broken drivetrain...

Too funny! Like your track rental is going to be different than any other track rental at Cecil County this year.

We're not talking about 2005, 2006, or 2007, we're talking 2009. The last $5500.00 track rental I went to this year at Cecil was prepped to the 60 foot. Jim Halsy (track manager) says, unless you pay the extra ($800 per lane I think?), that's all you're going to get. So, if you paid the extra bucks, then more power to you. Have a good race. If not, then good luck. ; )

Well, the rental in April 2009 was sprayed from end to end, just like they have been since 1999, so I guess they are.

Thanks for the replies.

That sucks Jeff, but that little 10 bolt rear did a very good job, for many many passes. Two plus years and a hundred or so wheel up launches is pretty good for a rear that shouldn't be in anything but a stock 6 cylinder.

I miss that car sometimes, but it'll be replaced sooner or later.
Right now I've been concentrating on getting my 17 year old down the track in his stock Mustang. He loves it. Much moreso than my wife does, LOL!

Love the sig by the way.

Went to the 08 Spring rental and had no problems with hooking, nor did any of the other much faster cars and trucks.

Getting excited to run in some nice cool air with the new clutch and shoes!!!!!

Just a reminder for any guys/gals still "thinking" about it:

The prepayment cutoff date for mailing is October 27th
(postmarked for checks)

The prepayment cutoff date for PayPal is October 30th

Anything after that will need to be gate payment at an increased rate as normal.
(That is, of course, IF the event is not sold out)

ABSOLUTELY NO SPOTS WILL BE "HELD" or "RESERVED"...

Checks/Money Orders postmarked after Tuesday, October 27, 2009 will be returned.

.

We are almost neighbors.
I live in Middle River, off of Ebenezer Road/Eastern Ave., near Gunpowder State Park...
Work at "the Point".

My brother in law should be there in his G8GT. I think he went 13.2 back at the April rental. Just has a programmer, SCT I think.

Down near Bay Country ?? I've worked for the Sunpapers for 27yrs. Hopefully I make it past the next round of layoffs. So far I'm a survivor.

There should be 4 or 5 G8s there. I know 3 will be going for the 11s.

Actually in Bay Country.

When they were still on Calvert St., I worked PT weekends as a driver there about 15 years ago...small world, huh?

Good Luck on the layoff thing. I know I don't know from week to week what the heck is going on at my work. Four owners in 5 years is never a good sign.

Either is $13,000,000,000 in debt. Yeah that's billion.

I worked at Calvert St on the 3rd floor in packaging. Now I work down at Sun Park in packaging. Do you know Carroll Robinson ?? He's been a driver for about 25 yrs.
