Default Won a 109 piece mechanic tool set

I took the Camaro down to Diesel Fuel Systems in Bangor, Maine where they had a dyno day event. They use a Mustang Dynamoter dual eddy current I guess. They were giving prizes for Gas and Diesel high power. I'm only able to get 91 octane up here at the local gas stations and was able to achieve 763 RWHP & 707 RWTQ. I know the car is tuned for 93 octane. I had fun though and got some extra tools. The only thing I've changed since I bought the car was the boost controller and NGK's. The dyno results for the day are supposed to be posted tomorrow with some video footage. Posted at dieselfuelsystems.com tomorrow.

I didn't know we had high horsepower shops in maine, but then again I'm from the county, where if you add an exhaust, you've got more power than 3/4 of the people around you.

Your fairly accurate in your assumption. There are cars here though that are much stonger than most might think. There are high HP Supra's and every other facet,lol. Last year a twin turbo Supra won the same event running 91 Octane at 660ish RWHP.

I'd be interested to see the graph. The valve springs should be way past the changing point being so old.

I didn't take it this year. I've been busy with work and usually lucky to drive it twice a month. The car had like 37K on it when I bought it over a year ago and now has just over 38K.. I think Don is right about the valve springs as it was smoking a bit on the dyno. Clears right up when you let off it. Do the heads need to come off to replace the valve springs?

Glad to see the Evil car is still being Evil.
That car has so much potential and is such a great combo for streetable power.

Fred, only the valve covers need to come off to change the springs. Easy job.

Thanks Dan. I've never swapped the springs before and Don would know which springs, so maybe he can give me a quote.

Springs look fine in the graph.I've seen a few graphs from that shop recently.Have no idea why they don't smooth the graphs at all,they look like crap. It's set at 0 but smoothing goes to 100.Smoothing at 30 would be nice so you can read them. LOL
