HP Tuners
HP Tuners anyone know if HPTuners can be used to make obdII systems ready. Having a problem with the egr system, o2sensor heater, and catalyst system. Drove 180 miles and these 3 systems are still not ready.

not to my knowledge, did you disable the codes by the SES enable/disable and did you change the error reported(to the direct right of the SES checkbox) if not change all the EGR, catalyst and 02 codes to "no error reported"

Keep in mind that some of these systems can take a while to become ready...typically the 02 heater is the first to become ready.....however, it could take longer for the egr to become ready i.e. more than 180 miles. I know we had an issue like this at our shop with a 2008 2.4L cobalt N/A that we supercharged and we had an issue with the evap becoming ready...took 2 weeks and 400+ miles but it finally became ready....also be aware, some of the tests do not and will not start if the car has a full tank of fuel and if the drive cycle was not started at a proper coolant temp etc.
I know our tuner here went back through and overlaid the factory tune to the modified tune and found a couple things that some how inadvertantly got changed and that helped the situation too. Another thing to keep in mind, i dont know how it works in PA, but in MA a vehicle of that age is allowed a certain number of systems to not be in the "ready" state and it will still pass inspection, not 100% if its 2 or 3 for your year.

I am in new york and i have been told by many people having 2 systems not ready will pass. I was just recently told by nikon1999 that the egr "For egr - it needs to be disabled in the tune on the first page you open it has an enable/disable option and speed parameter."
