it would be a concern if this was an on going thing week in and week out but with the exception of this last game and the game against the saints, they've played very good defensively. i get more concerned with the offense's inconsistancy than the defense. im confident the defense will bounce back. when the offense puts up an egg and Mcnabb cant hit the side of a barn, thats when i worry.
yes, the NFC east used to be a dominating force on defense but it hasnt been so the atleast the last decade unfortunetly. Eagles and Giants have come close to duplicating those teams of the early 90's but i dont think we'll ever see the NFC east be as dominate and it used to be.

I read a stat today that the Giants have given up 100 yards rushing "9" times this year. NINE!!!!!
I remember that IF someone would run for 100 yards on them it was like a FLUKE and was looked upon as a FAILURE for the defense and an ACCOMPLISHMENT for the opposing team. Win or lose if they gave up that 100 yards you weren't happy as a fan.
I've gotta stop living in the past.
