Default NY Giants.........................

defensive line makes me want to
4 turnovers and a special teams breakdown at this time of the year against a division rival at home playing for the division lead??
I stayed up late to watch that crap.

Hey they did show up this time though. Ran pretty well throughout most of the game and hung with the most explosive offense in the league. Staying within one score of an opponent who gets three of their scores on 50yd+ plays is saying alot. Jackson set an NFL record in this game...it was Philly's night, but the Giants stayed right there...never let them take the game away until the very end.

I just hope that NYG can win the rest of their relatively easy schedule...because Philly almost definitely will, and Dallas looks lost at this point...that would be great if Philly and NYG could keep Dallas out of the playoffs. That's what I live for.

Ahhhhhh, I'd rather stop 30 points than score 30 points. Bothers me when the D plays so poorly. That's not Giants football. IMO.
I don't mind losing to the Eagles, they are always tough but not like this. Defense has just been soooooo BAD this year, not easy to watch.
Used to be if the Giants could score 17, they'd win. I want that kind of play back again.
Guess I'm old skool, hehehe. Bring back LT!!!!

The D line used to be one of the most feared in football. This year they do nothing. Tuck is the only one playing half decent and he's banged up (thanks Flozelle Adams you cheap bastard). Osi and Kiwanuka aren't doing anything, Robbins got benched, Canty only decides to play hard when he's facing his former team, and Bernard has gone missing.

The secondary is missing too many keys and Webster should be playing much better than he is.

The linebackers didn't look good even when Pierce was still playing.

And god damn, I know Manningham is one of the dumbest players in the NFL (literally - he scored a record low on the Wanderlic), but he runs horrible routes and drops too many. I think Nicks was the right choice for starter even though he had a bad drop or two but at least redeemed himself.

I can see them beating a bad Washington and Carolina team, and they may get lucky and have the Vikes bench their starters for week 17 since they'll probably have clinched by then. But I wouldn't expect much in the playoffs.

NHRATA01, I agree with everything you're saying except about the good play of Tuck.
He didn't do squat yesterday and he's always the last one in and out of his stance off the ball. He's always walking hands on hips and his head down. Guys look at that, it doesn't do any good in the huddle and if/ when he speaks up guys won't respond to a guys with that body language. Never saw Strahan walkin' around like that.
Tuck is the one I actually resent the most as the main cause of the Giants defensive woes.
When the coach says "we need a big game from Tuck today." that's not good.
The Giants should always have a good game from a player like Tuck and not have to wish and hope they get one. It should be a given.
Guys on the D I'm sure are not happy with the scheme, nobody is it seems except for Sherridan. When you have DE's dropping back in pass coverage against WR's, you got a problem. I don't get this scheme this year one bit, Sherridan's gotta go, imo.

I thought it was a pretty good game..lol. not much defense played by either team which is allways fun to watch. the Eagles forgot how to tackle people and the Giants secondary is just horrid. im just glad the Birds ended up scoring more points in the end. unfortunetly the Giants just run into an Eagle team thats hot right now and they tend to do so every Dec. i didnt think they played a bad game (unlike the first meeting debacle). the Eagles just made a few more plays then they did and ended up winning.

If the Giants recievers can catch the ball, they could of won. Plus also the Giants defense could not stop the Offensive of the Eagles. Idk, what everyone think about the Redskins vs Giants on MNF?

Giants might be in trouble. playing a team like Washington this late in the season who have nothing to lose is scary especially coming off a win...they have some confidence now.

Even as an Eagles fan you can't feel that good really either about the defensive performance they put on. 38 points is alotta points to give up on defense alone.
NFC EAST used to be about D E F E N S E ! ! ! What the hell happened??

Just one.

I'm sorry but Wade Phillips has always been a horrid coach. I have no idea why Jones hired him, but Jone's ain't the brightest and lets his ego run the show. I doubt Cowher or Shanny will put up with that since they are both control freaks but I could be wrong since the Cowgirls have some strange allure.

Hey, Charlie Weiss is out there now.
