Default No quick street for 2010

so what everyones plans for 2010 now ith there being no outlaw street races in 2010? @NED that is... the 9.50/10.50/11.50 classes had ok car counts but just was seeing what the plans were for next season... Razorback racing might put on a few races and follow atco/englishtown rules.. but it is up in the air as of now.. I myself would like to add a 12.50 street class that anyone can race in.. any car 12.50 heads up pro tree must be reg and insured and street tires(dot)
just a idea...

There is quick street in 2010@ NED. Outlaw racing corp just isn't running it next year but NED is. It will be almost identical, with only a few rule changes pertaining to break-outs. (as far as I know)
I am curious to how the pay-out will be affected though.

vinny i was told otherwise.. but i think if the track runs it it will be better with the pay outs..

ya we talked to them about a 12.50 class. with all makes... there is alot of kids with mid 12's sec cars that dont get a chance to run heads up and i think it would change some of the additudes up there...

That's o.k. I can deal with the side betting. I'd like to see the rules set up so if you double breakout, the guy closer to the time wins... if that's what they're doign great.

I don't care about the $ really.. just want to run the 9.50 class. Not sure when I'll have my caar back together and ready, but I want to make a couple races this year if I can.

They should change that to a .400 tree too, that would be great, if anyone's making suggestions to them, just so it's consistant with what other tracks do.

double breakout rule has been changed, so now closest time to the index wins

See that's good. The way it was before, if I remember right, is if both cars broke out, you were both done.

This is good IMO. Now it's the same as the 8.50 index that'e everywhere.

Now, just have to get them to run a .400 tree instead of the stupid .500 tree and it willl be perfect. I'm gonna put a 28 inch tire on my car just so I don't have a problem red lighting on the slower tree I think, because I'm so used to going on the first yellow that .500 is gonna be enough so I'll redlight every pass.

It is a .400 Pro Tree. Its always been that way.
Here is a link to last years rules.

No payout huh? That seems like a bad decision, I'd have to think a payout boosts car-count.

vinnie, as long as everyone in each class throws into the side pot, you'll win some cash. what sucks is the guys that don't care about winning money will not throw in

That's understandable.. should be a requirment to run, the $ in the pot.

I could have sworn that they were running a .500 tree but if they're on the .400 that's great, one less thing to worry about.

It's all good to me, whatever they want to do. My only concern is the nhra/ihra thing, not sure if they'll care about an nhra cert, or if I need to get the car certed for ihra, same with the lic. I have to renew my nhra this year, I think I remember someone telling me if I send in a copy of my nhra paperwork and the nhra lic that they'll isue an ihra lic just pay the fee and that's it.

how much is it going to be to enter now? hopefully its a lot less expensive. what was it before? $30 to get in then $50 to enter? hopefully now its just $30 to get in then u put in for the side pot. $10 or $20 per racer.

i know on fri nights king of the hill bracket racing its $20 to enter the street night then if u want to win the $$ u throw in $10 if not ur just racing for a trophy. (almost everyone throws in the money, because i have seen it so many times the guy who wins didnt throw in that extra $10 and they kick themselves for it when the runner up walks away with YOUR winnings, happened to me actually lol)

hopefully that is the way the quick street is gonna be run. a lot cheaper for u guys

yes vinny with no payouts car counts will be worse...and marco you are building a 50k car **** why waste your time running for a few hundred bucks!!!! side betting will be nice per round like pinks all-out.. like 150 min up to 1k would be nice and make it worth it.. cuase i had my car up and running and just gutted it completely to intall new cage and full int. so i can run with you guys, but with the way things are looking u might as well just say f-it to the cage and just drive it on the street. cause the 3-5k for the cage to win maybe $200 is just a waste on time and money.. cause i know my car will be the only one driving to and from the track running 9.5 and faster but time will tell

Its a tough call for sure.
I mean, nobody builds a car to race to 'make money'. But when there is $250 or $500 on the line, I have to admit, it becomes a lot more exciting. Not to mention its a lot easier to justify to the wife when you come home with a check. Yes the entry fee is more expensive when there is a pay-out but with only 10 races per year, minus rained out events, I don't mind the entrance fee.
As for the side betting goes, thats sorta ok, but I garuntee it will be somewhat of a gong-show. And if we need to organize that, then we aren't much farther than the class was 5 years ago, when it was just a bunch of guys organizing it themselves, putting money in a pot, and doing their own pay-out.
Its sad, but I don't think anyone will be betting like they do down south. It just wont happen at NED. A $25 or $50 enternace fee like last year is about the max mot of us will be willing ot bet.
Vinny

Glad to see these classes will continue. As a matter of fact, we just changed our Corvette indexes at E'town to be 9.50, 10.50 and 11.50.
