RXP-X is def the way to go. Take a look at sea-doo's website; it ***** all over any other ski on the market. To me it makes more sense to have the SC, instant power out of the hole.

I have two skis and they'll probably remain stock because once you start modding them **** starts to break lol

Yeah they all read high on the speedo. The only ones I know of running in the lows 70s stock (GPS) are the RXP/RXTs and the Kawi Ultra 255.

The Hondas are a good ski, but the aftermarket really isn't even close to the same level as the Yamaha/Sea Doos.

I believe the fastest Honda in the country right now is only at 80MPH GPS.

Where as I know of at least two Sea Doos in the mid 90s GPS.

Check out greenhulk.net CamaroSS if you haven't already. Hands down the best PWC forum, with lots of big names and fast skis.

Yeah one of my roommates just scooped up an '05 RXP with 30 hrs for $4500 with a brand new trailer.

I'm still running my old '00 Sea Doo XP, and it keeps up just fine, especially in the rough. I'm a 80-90 degree rider though. Too many other hobbies to go out when it's in the 60s and freeze my nuts off. The XP is a WET ride.

Yeah that's a great deal!

I'm still running my 97 XP (787 motor) and it's plenty quick with a 951 and DI it's gotta rip. I have that motor in my 01 RX-DI and it practically jumps out of the water. I've been def thinking about selling the 97 and picking up a RXP.

I'm with you all the way on the temp...it sucks getting wet when it's cold and you're flying across the water; plus the XP is tipsy as hell and like you said you get soaked.

Yes, the RX was one of my favorite rides Sea Doo ever offered. I love my 951, but even the fastest are only in the 70s. The RXP hull just leaves a lot to be desired. Which is why the fastest use the GP1200 hull, and go with the turbo rotex powerplant and run in the 90s.

IMO the XP is the funnest of them all, especially handling wise. Just tippy around the docks. At 7AM on a warm summer weekday on my lake, there isn't much better then doing some sweeping turns at 60mph.

I try not to catch the mod bug with them same as you. They always run better stock, and I just like to gas them up, and beat the snot out of 'em.

I got a 17ft jet boat...200hp merc v6 2 stroke. it does 54 on gps with 2 ppl, a dog and tons of **** in it. I want to clear it out and go solo...see what i can get out of it. Anyway..it usually hangs with most skis on my lake. I was looking to get a couple of skis but wanted something we could take everyone out on. it seats 6 we usually have 6-7 people on it...coolers... i put a nice stereo in it. Cant beat this thing....not to mention the turns and 180's it can do. It drafts in wicked shallow water too...
