Default I got bored....

Well when we had a circuit breaker go in our house, I could not play COD: Modern Warfare 2..... I figure I get started on this.

Removed the Ported 90/90 and going back to a LS6 to free up some cash and put towards a set of QA1 Front (R-series) and have a good Chunk set for a set of Pro Stars.

In advance I do want to thank JL-ws6 for ALL the help he has provided and the opportunity to buy some of his kick *** parts. Maybe I can get a pic of a Jay Lambert Ported TB

When it comes time for a BIG motor, I will rebuy a more current FAST intake or go straight carb, it all depends when that happens and what technology is out there.

This car will be track ready this year and I can trailer her up to LVD and see if I can run a decent time (aiming for 11.8's) compred to the 12.3's I ran in Sept/Oct of 2008.

This is what is going on, just need to clean and de grease. It has the z06 Part # which is cool to see.

** Both Pics are from my new BlackBerry w/ the touch screen, pretty sweet.

It's on the table. We can discuss it.

For about 100 bucks you can pull 100 lbs out of the car, so when you're ready.

Depends on what you already have done to your car... what I want to do only works for an untouched car.

Yeah, to the tune of a single 65 jet.... or about 10 degrees more on every lobe of the camshaft.

UPDATE!!

It's on there, but there one thing missing, can you tell...... and it is NOT the FAST intake...

Yup. The primary fuel line lock was broken, prob 2 years ago when I did the cam. It reared it's ugly head this weekend. Unfortunately it HAD to come off to fix something on the rail and long story short is DO NOT buy shitty autozone universal fuel line disconnect tools, the large one hits the master cyl, and the metal one broke the lock (2 yrs ago). I got the small, plastic 7/16" and the other end of the line come off with ease.

Either way, its on to installing my QA1 R Series Fronts!

Well it was so busted, it was not coming off, that was NOT the worry. But either way it will be fixed either today or tommorrow depending on where a GM dealer may have this item.

dont relocate the battery, buy a small one. saves a lot of weight from relocation and runs the car fine.
a small battery like mine runs 2 cars i did for street duty with no issues at all.
weight savings from a full size in the trunk is about 80 pounds.
weight savings from stock is about 25-35 pounds depending what battery you have.
well worth it, and way cheeper.
very easy to make a hold down as well. i just bent up a strip of stainless and it works mint.

I had one of those little **** batt's in my car, first cold day I tried to crank it over it was DONE. Never took a charge again, even when keeping a tender on it. They're not worth the trouble.

hell I remember you having problems with your car dying too with that little batt in it too....

I think WHEN I go to the track I will have both. Race the light weight but IF I had an issue, I could put the current (see new stock style battery in) Jay if you have that mount, I will take it off your hands. That would be the best compromise.

yeah I have it, you can definitely have it. Like I said.. I'll never waste my time with one of those POS batt's in the car again. You can foget running fans, an electric bottle heater, anything with one of those in the car. Hell I wouldn't even turn the radio on with the car off.

No thanks.... but yeah you can have the mounting strap, and the terminals off the battery I have since you'll need those too.
