Default Headlight motor issue

I'm having a problem with the driver headlight motor, it runs fine when the lights are turned on but continues to run for about 10 sec when i shut them off and when just the parking lights are on the headlights flip up but are not lit. the relay checks out ok, any suggestions thanks

check the connector plug. i had a similer concern on a buddies car and the connector was all corroded and ****. pulled it apart, cleaned the contacts and it was fine after that. just a suggestion.

One thing I noticed as the car is running and driving. If I put on the head lights, they flip up. IF I want just running lights (parking), they will remain up. Otherwise they will close immediately.

I believe you have to change the gear in the motor.

Yea, now that I think about it, maybe its worn a certain way where the teeth catch well one way, and has a delay on the other. Maybe a disection is in order.

try doing the free fix (where u flip the gear 180*) if not just replace the motor.
