picked up an ls2 with 243 heads!!!!

picked up an ls2 with 243 heads!!!! got a pretty good deal i couldnt pass up on a ls2 compleat with 243 heads and all.
no intake coils, water pump, but just about everything else.
motor came from a trail blazzer ss with 12,000 miles on it.
going to rip into it soon and sell oil pump, timming chain, springs, covers, oil pan, valve covers etc. and prep it and have it ready to drop in incase i cook the ls1.
im diggin this junk yard motor stuff!!!!!
i have a spare now. lol
heading to the car show with the race car again tonight. hoping i fixed the over heating issue. we shall see, when i pulled it all apart i found the t-stat had boken and was blocking the water pump about 75% or better so hope thats the issue. if not, im thinking its because i have no shroud around the fan or because i have no air dam under the car.
we shall see after work, she was a hit last week at the show!! no hood on and all. lol cops i drove by gave me some looks tho, with the plate hanging off the chute. lol

hahha ****** noyzee lol i can see u now drinkin a bud on that show junk yard wars with a big grin on ur face hahaha. hows the boat? i never got my skis runnin. im thinkin about buying a small put put boat for myself soon and getting rid of the shiitbox skis

ss, no desire right now to spend all the coin to put it together. i have the stock motor in there right now and having a blast ripping up the streets, even thinking about putting real mufflers on it and getting drag radials and sportsman fronts!! its a blast, high 10 sec stock street car with 100 shot to back it up. its a hit at the car shows and it cost me a couple grand. the race motor would cost me $4,000 or more to get back together and i would not use it on the street and i have no desire to go to the track and race every weekend, so the junk yard motors are great! if the ls1 stays together when i go for the record in the fall, great, if not i dump the ls2 in. if i pop the motor in my vett, (knocking on wood it doesnt happen) i will plop the ls2 in that with a small cam.
i love it!!! cruzin my car yesterday was a blast only issue is i had to have it home by 9 last night so my friends next door didnt call the cops on me. thinking some nice big muffles, we shall see.

ls2 is all torn down to just a short block. ready to go in if i blow up the ls1.
gonna send the heads out prob next week and have tea do a basic cnc, new springs etc. prob get 25-30 hp out of them, see if she will run mid 10's on motor in good air and 9.3x on 200 shot.
