Default selling car to an out of state buyer

I'm just wondering what the deal is with this. I have told him everything that I know is wrong with the car. But does he have any warrany etc? Basically is there anyway he could get his money back if something went wrong or he didn't like the car?

Put it all in writing, Make to 2 copies, have a witness and basically he walks away with his copy and you have yours.

"No warrantees implied, nor inferred"

Make a Bill of sale. Have him sign both copies and you keep one. If you google Bill of Sale automotive some nice templates will come up.

I sold my 99 TA to someone from Connecticut.

He came down, test drove it, left a deposit, etc.

When he came to pick up the car, I had a 2 page Bill of Sale written up saying things like:

The car is sold AS IS
The purchaser is responsible for the vehicle
I assume no risk or liability for the vehicle
I sold it to ------ for $xxxx.xx

Stuff like that. Then just make sure both of you sign it. You keep a copy and he keeps a copy. Make sure to date it too. Always protect your ***. Make sure he knows that once he pays you and you give him the bill of sale, the car is his/hers. Even if he/she backs it down the driveway and the brakes fail, oil is leaking, and the doors fall off, it's his problem.
