Well, T&T was a real nightmare yesterday....8 hours to make six passes....ugh
The Good:
I did come up with a new best time....10.74@131 on a 125 shot!
The Bad:
I now have a nasty drivetrain vibration that starts at 75mph and gets progressively worse as speed increases.
Will be looking into it today....

On further inspection this morning, the only thing I can find that looks messed up is the trans tailshaft. It seems to have over 1/4" of play in it...I can wiggle the **** out of it....
I guess I will be calling Carl in the AM....****!!!

mike how is your pinion angle? bring tires down if you want me to check the balance? start ruling everything out. there was a lot of weight on the one wheel IIRC. could have come off.

The pinion angle doesn't just suddenly change, but I fucked with it anyway just to see....made no difference + or -.
The tailshaft on that trans feels so ******* loose to me that I really think that's the problem....I can wiggle it back and forth more than 1/4"....

Do like I did and just use this opportunity to make it even faster.....go for a 6.0 truck block and maybe some CNC L92 heads like these:
Cylinder Head, L92 CNC Ported, Manley Valves, 0.650" Lift Springs
Part Number: SD8800
Scoggin Dickey Parts Center
Price: $799.99
Flow: 345/202 @ .600
Hey...it's only money right? At least you have all winter to work on it.....

That is terrible news Dan! I have an idea though and it's not a bad alternative. Call Kris(2ktransam) he has a few motors laying around. Or add the cost of a new motor in the price of a new house! A good tax shelter and everyone wins
