Default I need a LS1 engine mechanic
I have 99 ss that killed a roller lifter and wiped the cam the engine has 440 hp and I want to save it. I have cash I would like to replace the the mains/rod bearings cam/rollers timming chain oil pump ect . I have a shop but a bad right hand for a couple of more months and I want this running.. shoot me a email Thanks Dan PS I LIVE IN NARVON PA (LANCASTER) NEAR HONEY BROOK RT10 & RT322
UPDATE DOIN THE JOB MY SELF (WITH A LOT OF HELP FROM SOME FRIENDS) LET ME SAY THANKS TO MY FRIENDS RIGHT OFF THE START (MY RIGHT HAND IS STILL BEAT AT THIS POINT BUT ITS NOT GOING TO STOP THE BUILD ..I WILL KEEP POSTING PROGRESS AND PHOTOS

I wish I was at the track last night !!!! I will be once this car is running I just got it off CL last night. I dont know alot about the LS engines but I think am gona learn ...Dan

I think that was GrannySShifting that we pushed on the trailer last night.

On a side note these motors are really simple and easy to work on. I know there are lots of guys myself included that are always willing to help out and lend a hand when needed.

Thanks always looking for some help I have built alot of small blocks /bb but no LS engines. I never ran this car got it broken Im hoping its savable somebody did the hole thing up rods crank pistons comp cam srings push rods head work but put the stock roller lifters in it.....

stock lifters in good mechanical shape are good to 7000rpms. good luck getting it straightened out

Thanks for all of the info from the shops but i'm just not looking to take the car to a shop yet i want to keep the bleeding to a minimal amount not ready to start spending insane amounts of cash

well I think that the bottom end of this engine is going to need bearings rods/mains /cam I just dont like the way the sides of the lifters are scratched up ... I have 2002 ls1 vette engine that I will use if this motor thats in the car is not a stroker bottom end ..and I'm not sure how much it would cost nobody talked cash

Well feel free to give me a call. I dont think a rebuild is something someone can do in their garage (Atleast the correct way)
