where is the closest/best track near norfolk, VA.

Closest is Northeast Dragway in Hertford NC (1/8th mile). Goggle it for directions. It's down near Elizabeth City.

Best track is Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie. Up by Richmond. 1/4 mile track, real nice, but about 1.5 hours from Norfolk.

im gonna be bringing some friends, would saturday or friday be better so that they can see a bunch of cars run.

i stoped goin to VMP, just due to inconvience, and started going to Richmond dragway, go on VMP's website and richmond dragway's website and look at thier schedules. If i remeber correctly, VMP is normally saterday, and Richmond's is normally on a friday night, so while not as nice as a saterday, much closer. Think the last time i went with the crew, it was like a 45 minute drive. Not a fan of the northeast dragway, never been an 1/8th mile guy though, unless ur just practicing launches and 60fts. Im deployed right now, but keep in touch when i get back in febuary i need to go back with the new setup and i always manage to get a nice crowd. One time i talked shawn from Va speed into goin all the way out to MIR with us, what a ****** awesome day that was, he snapped a ring gear in his single digit second gen, but we still felt cool goin with a big dog like him!
