Default selling a car.....(need help)

So as you may know I am selling my 07 STi with low compression on a cylinder. What are the laws on selling the car in MA to a person from NY?? I had assumed tha as long as the buyer is aware of the known problem and signs off on the bill of sales, I am all clear. Is this correct?

I just want to sell the car strait up with no problems for both the buyer as well as myself.

Thanks in advance!

Title is in hand. I know I have to sign the back and stuff.

I just have never sold a car private before. All my old stuff was trade in.

I have always typed up a bill of sale. Specifically wording "As Is" condition, and no Warrentee implied or given. Have hime sign one and to keep and you keep your signed one.

Definetly put in writing on bill of sale "AS-IS with known defects. No warranty." And have it signed by both. And keep orig copy.

When I sold my DD I just went online and found a bill of sale and printed it out. I'm pretty sure you can specify "as is".

Thanks guys. I've fond some details on-line, but wanted to confirm with others who've gone down this road.

Still awaiting conformation from the buyer, so hopefully this goes through!!

After the sale I'm gonna hold off for a bit and save some more cash up. Just remember I JUST bought my wife a new 2011 Acadia.

At the moment I'm leaning towards high end performance cars. Something in the 40-50k range. I'll wait 'til next year unless the price is right, ya know.

Do it right and buy something with an LSX in it this time around , 40k will net you a nice used c6Z, or a newer LS3 c6 Then you gotta learn to drive all over again.

If i had the cash I know one of those Mallet Solstice/Sky's look like a blast to drive, and super rare.

I still gotta make a sale in order to "upgrade." If the sale falls through, you know I'm doing the build up on the STi.

you guys know if I buy it'll be worth it, but if I can't/don't sell this is the plan:

http://store.crawfordperformance.com/store/products/49
http://perrinperformance.com/product...ory=5&model=29
http://perrinperformance.com/product...ry=39&model=29

With smaller parts of course...like upgraded oil cooler, injectors, tvg deletes, and my meth kit.

I am pretty sure in Mass if you sell a car, it has to pass inspection. If you sell it as Parts then it does not
