Well, I had a great time at this event. In the F/S class the higher qualified car won every round.
I felt bad I had to race a guy in a nice A4 T/A in the 3rd round. His best that day was a 12.08 and mine was an 11.91. We were both cutting pretty good lights too - we both have a bit of experience with the pro tree.
We knew it was going to be a close race, as I didnt have much on him. But, I got a good launch and hit every shift and ran my best et for the day at 11.86.
In the semis, I was paired up with the Porsche. I went in deep to try to get a better light. His lights were not that good all day, That was my only chance. I had to kill him on the tree and run a stellar time. It's hard to make up a 1.3 second advantage... nope...
Rolled into Stick/ET - ran a guy dialed 15.2. I took a wag at a dial and caught him but let him take the stripe - he won... I need to work on that part of the track. I've lost that way twice this year. I really thought I had a fender on him.
Oh well. It was a good day.
$75 for the semis
And Thank you Vette Doctors Performance for the $100 bounty for being the quickest Vette in class.
Jason said they are going to run this class again next year. I think it's a good class. It's a win/win deal. pay for one class race in two. I really expected to see more f-bodys. There were two GTOs.
The upgrades I'm doing over the winter will move me into the Motor Street class (if the rules dont change)

sounds like a hell of a time. my goal is to attend this race next fall
my only complaint is no skinnies. many street cars (including myself) drive on skinnies all the time. for us older cars to have a chance we need to be as light as possible.

My brother Carlos and I had a great day, could not make it until today placed number 13 in the 16 car field for Motor Street in the one an only session they had. It good event really enjoyed the day other than the constant ricer breakage, see you soon at the shop Fran for upgrades. Orange Juice where were you?
