Anyone have a bad back?
I go in for a Cortisone consultation tomorrow. I'm concerned with having a needle shoved in my back, I only trust a few people (Zturd, MikeP, Fran, Venomous-V, AJ and his Garage) to shove things in my back side.
Any personal experience with this type of stuff?

Indeed! LOL
It is a little un nerving with them sticking a monster needle that close to the spine though. You won't feel the needle just alot pressure.

The bulging disc is bad, but that ruptured disc is causing monstrous pain. I can't sleep, can't function at work, and the only thing that masks the pain currently is 2 Oxycodones. I don't like taking the pain killers but I become nauseated if I don't.
Hugely intefering with my work and my life. I'm praying that the injection masks it long enough to allow me to get a workout regimen started. Right now I can't do anything.

Cortisone is your friend
I didn't even feel that needle, then again needles and that kinda stuff doesn't bother me. Agree w/ AJ, light workout for your back will help too.
If you have a ruptured disc in time the nucleus pulposis (liquid in the center of the disc) that has herniated out of the disc will get absorbed and "dry up" and that may releive the pressure on those nerves.
Give it time, the injection along with physical therapy and strengthening those muscles should help alot. Good luck.
